My Love for Life《热爱生命》(双语原创)

After reading A Psalm of Life, I have come to believe that one should love one’s own life. But how does one love life?

Life is the purest gift bestowed by nature, ordinary yet great, simple yet resilient. New shoots breaking through soil in spring, plants braving snow in cold winters, birds fluttering their wings against storms — all living things strive to grow toward the sun. Plants take root and grow quietly, paying no heed to time; creatures brave wind and rain to chase vitality. Every scene in nature tells us: the true meaning of life lies never in ease and smoothness, but in persistent perseverance that never yields.

To love life is not about magnificent feats. It hides in the gentle trivialities of daily life. To live well, to grow steadily, to relish every meal earnestly and cherish each present day, to embrace hardships in life and value time at hand — this is the most plain reverence for life. Life’s journey is never plain sailing. We will inevitably encounter setbacks, confusion and distress. Yet suffering is no chain binding life, but a medal for growth. Tempered by storms, life becomes richer, weightier and more vivid.

To love life is also to accept our imperfect selves. Every life has its ups and downs. Do not dwell on past regrets, nor worry about the road ahead. Allow yourself to feel down, accept your ordinariness, gather strength in stillness and grow step by step. Keep your heart bright and gentle, hold hope and walk toward the sun. This is the finest interpretation of life.

Life is brief and time precious. On the long journey of life, we need not seek grandeur, only to stay true to our hearts. Be kind, keep light in your eyes, keep your feet on the ground, move forward step by step, treat time well and cherish the rest of your days.

May we all grasp the meaning of life. Accept life with tenderness, journey toward mountains and seas with passion, live up to time and our very being, and lead a free, warm and shining life amid ordinary years.
