We write, read, learn and pass it on. Words allow us to find the truth of history and civilization through the mists of thousands of years. Record must be true, but writing can be poetic and romantic. Are the chroniclers and writers of history willing to give us a glimpse of civilization? The truth that has been marginalized, maliciously tampered with, placed and hidden in the deepest depths of history has been difficult to distinguish between true and false after years of barren smoke and weeds, and it is indistinct and confusing. The words left behind are vague, like slush of claws, like prophecy, like an oracle.</h3></br> <h3>《卡珊德拉的预言》</h3></br>Old Kingdom Revelation郑孟梅 | 2018Zheng Mengmei | 2018装置油画 Installation oil painting<h3>80cmX100cm</h3></br><h3>一如预言宿命难逃，神谕晦涩难懂，现实无奈且无出路，或许借用文学的隐喻投射和诗歌的梦幻迷离可以让迷失的心灵在现实中得到栖息。就像《百年孤独》里的羊皮卷，马孔多和布恩迪亚家族用七代更迭的生命历程想要解读预言改变命运，可是读懂之时一切已经终结走向消亡，原来世代重复的宿命才是箴言，结局无处可逃。此岸就是彼岸，唯有去经历。</h3></br><h3>As the prophecy is doomed, the oracle is difficult to understand, and the reality is helpless and has no way out. Perhaps the metaphorical projection of literature and the dreaminess of poetry can make the lost mind rest in the reality. Just like the parchment in "One Hundred Years of Solitude", Macondo and Buendia families want to interpret the prophecy and change the fate with seven generations of changing life course, but when they understand everything has ended and died out, The original generation of repeated fate is the maxim, the end can not escape. This shore is the other shore, only to experience.<br></br></h3></br><h3> <h3>《箴言》<br></br></h3></br>admonition郑孟梅 | 2019Zheng Mengmei | 2019装置油画 Installation oil painting<h3>80cmX100cm</h3></br><br></br><h3>比历史和文学更魔幻的是现实。纵然社会发展到今天，在一个似乎每一个人都可以记录书写和传播的时代，我们这些历史的亲历者，却也只能无奈地看着文字在眼前被抹去被涂改，不得不去参与一场场文字接力游戏，用隐喻用谐音用图画等等魔幻的方式，参与到对真相的维护和对文字的守护当中来。文字语言固然会因为时间的漫长流逝或者由于朝代的更迭导致规训和演变，但是更悲哀的是在自己的国土和族群里被迫藏匿、流浪、逃亡……这样的悲哀不是第一次也不会是最后一次。</h3></br><h3>当书写被权力涂改，每一个字都成了伴随权力起舞的恶之花，文字不再是文明，不再带来希望和传承，文明被腐蚀成一片废墟。</h3></br><h3>历史的书写越诗意，现实就越沉重。</h3></br><h3>——郑孟梅</h3></br><h3>More magical than history and literature is reality. Even though the society has developed to today, in an era where it seems that everyone can record, write and spread, we, the witnesses of history, can only helplessly watch the words being erased and altered in front of our eyes, and have to participate in a word relay game, using metaphors, homonyms, pictures and other magical ways to participate in the maintenance of the truth and the protection of the words. Of course, the written language will be disciplined and evolved due to the long passage of time or due to the change of dynasties, but what is more sad is that they are forced to hide, wander and flee in their own country and ethnic groups.
