小熊总是喜欢跟别人打赌，他能做到这样，能做到那样，事实果真如此吗？

故事全文：

"I bet I can jump over the river," said the bear.

“我打赌我能跳过这条河，”小熊说。

"I bet you can't," said the kangaroo.

“我打赌你不能，”袋鼠说。

So the bear ran to the river.

所以熊跑向了河。

He jumped.SPLASH, went the bear.

他跳了。水花溅向了熊。

He did not jump over the river.

他没有跳过河。

"I bet I can jump over that tall wall."said the bear.

“我打赌我能跳过那个高墙。”熊说。

"I bet you can’ t," said the goat.

“我打赌你不能。”山羊说。

So the bear ran toward the tall wall.

所以熊向高墙跑去。

He jumped.SPLAT, went the bear.

他跳了。熊发出“啪嗒”。

He did not jump over the tall wall.

他没有跳过那个高墙。

"I bet I can swing on the rope," said the bear.

“我打赌我能在绳索上摆动。”熊说。"

I bet you can ’t," said the fox.

“我打赌你不能。”狐狸说。

So the bear grabbed the rope, ran, and jumped.

所以那只熊抓住了绳子，跑、跳。

SNAP, went the rope.

绳子发出了“啪嗒声”。

Down went the bear.

熊倒下了。

He did not swing on the rope.

他没有在绳索上摆动。

"I bet I can sleep all winter," said the bear.

“我打赌我能整个冬天都睡觉。”熊说。"

I bet you can ’t," said the hawk.

“我打赌你不能。”鹰说。

So the bear went into a cave.

所以那只熊进了一个山洞。

He curled up into a big ball.

他卷成了一个大球。

ZZZZZZZZZZZ, went the bear.

他睡着了。

And he did sleep all winter.

他睡了一整个冬天。
