My grandmother is a great lady. She was devoting her whole life to her family. She passed away last year with the age of 97. We will miss her for ever.

One of the most important impressions she left to us is her optimistic attitude towards life. What she did and said deeply influenced me. Her life story is like an interesting book involving happiness and sadness, always making our big family excited and proud.

My grandma has not got a decent name, because she was the youngest girl in her family and at that time females were regarded as inferior. nobody paid any attention to her and just called her "girl". When she was 16 years old, she was introducted to marry a man she has never seen before. That is my grandpa, after that her dramatic life began.

Unfortunately, my grandma experienced three of the most tragic things in her life. In some sense, she is unlucky. When she was 10 years old, her mother suddenly died of a serious illness. When she was 35 years old, her husband passed away and left her seven children. The oldest son was 17 years old and the youngest child was 3 years old. Since then, she has never remarried and just tried to work hard to support that big family. 30 years later, All her children have grown up and have their own family. But all of sudden, her first son lost his life during an accident. That year, she was 65 years old. People say that those kinds of things are the tragedies of life, Thus my grandma suffered from all of them. Even though she has experienced loneliness, sadness even poverty during her life, She finally proved that she is a strong-willed, nice and happy lady.

Every time When I think of her, I feel so proud of her, not only because of her achievement for the whole family, but also because of her wonderful character and personalities. I realized that a great person should be one who experiences lots of difficulties, but still feels optimistic and confident about everything, my grandma is surely one of them.
