Martha 是我们公司的员工，至今已经工作29年。再过两天是她的生日，满足了年龄和工作年限的要求，终于圆满的的退休了。六月一号是她在公司上班的最后一天，我们为她举办了特殊的退休欢送会。

Marti is….

A great collaborator and team player – each month she reminds me when it’s time to start planning the next month’s training schedule. Marti selects colors for the calendar, makes copies in each color and then we decide together which one to post around the building. Marti also makes copies of the student guides AND keeps an inventory of the copies – in EXCEL.

Martha 如往常一样按时来到办公室，不同的是今天由她的兄弟陪同。

Martha 最开心的事是早上给她喜欢的人一个温暖的拥抱，她会像小baby 一样把头埋在你的怀里，紧紧的抱紧你久久不舍离开。

The best hugger ever. When Marti takes stock of who’s in, part of the process usually includes at least one hug. Marti’s hugs make me smile and almost always make me feel better. I think it’s those hugs are what I’ll miss most about Marti’s retirement!

周四是外卖日，这天一早上班第一件事就交午饭外卖的钱。过去都是 Martha 到每个人那里去收，自她改 part time 后才换了其他人。

Marti likes to participate in everything in MIS. We think her favorite day of the week is Thursday – when we all get lunch takeout.

An important member of MIS. She’s also a great friend and listener. She’s always there for you in good times and in bad. Marti is always interested in what’s going on. She takes inventory of who’s in and who’s out daily. Marti almost always has an opinion – like OH BROTHER.

Martha 喜欢读书

A voracious reader. Not only does she take books out of the library regularly, but she actually reads them – and remembers what she reads. For example, Marti reads scores of books on different US cities, foreign countries, and places to visit. Whenever someone from the department is going ANYWHERE, she’ll tell them all about their destination, including interesting facts and details.
