Duif”（比利时鸽报）特别设立的一个赛鸽奖项，奖杯由纯金打造，能够获得“金鸽奖”成为欧洲鸽友的最高荣誉之一，很多人视为欧洲最公平、最诚信、也最难赢得的竞赛。由比利时、荷兰、德国共3个国家的当年国家重要比赛获奖鸽参加评比。有严格的评比标准，分短距离速度鸽王、中距离鸽王、长距离鸽王三个级别的比赛。每月评比一次，最后按类别评出年度成绩最好的鸽子作为冠军，它们将被称为“年度之星”。最后，获得各类别赛提名最多的鸽舍将获得“金鸽奖”。所以，这个比赛不同于通常的比赛，你可以靠一只鸽子就得到奖杯，但是要赢得“金鸽奖”，需要你拥有很多出色的鸽子。除此之外，De Duif 10年前开始为比利时、荷兰和德国地区举行一种不同的国际长距离比赛，这个比赛在欧洲也非常知名。不同于单一比赛获奖，要赢得金鸽奖需要拥有综合性许多优异的赛绩。每年度「金鸽奖」颁奖典礼，是欧洲名家们欢聚的场合，吸引超过3000人参加，也是欧洲最大的赛鸽鸽友聚会。<font
