张家界天门山

严教授书屋

　　到张家界游天门山，整个行程满山大雾。问了几个去过的朋友，都说遇见了满山大雾，什么也看不见。身临其中，因了这雾，对佛界里面“空”的哲理有了禅悟。特别是参观大雾中的天门山寺时，巍峨的雕梁画栋时隐时现，灵堂里菩萨端坐莲花台，微闭双目，给人一种实有似无的感觉。游完了寺庙，居然没有看见一个和尚走动，连个诵经的都没有看见，倒是自己将“雾”和“悟”联想参透了一遍，结果无中生有，悟出了不少好东西，阿弥陀佛，善哉。原来大雾也是一种禅悟，一切尽在不言之中。

最近看了一则寓言故事。说一个人死了，在奈何桥上碰见了佛祖。佛祖拎着个箱子说是死人的生前遗物。死人问是不是衣服和钱财，佛祖说那些东西不属于你，属于阳间；死人问是不是家人和朋友，佛祖说不是，家人和朋友属于旅途；死人问是不是躯体，佛祖说躯体属于尘埃；那么是灵魂了，死人猜说，佛祖说灵魂属于我。死人心有不甘地打开箱子，里面是空的，大失所望地问为什么里面什么都没有？佛祖说有哇，你活着时的每一寸光阴都是属于你的，想想看自己珍惜过没有。听了佛祖的话，死者方才醒悟，后悔生前做了许多尔虞我诈，心恶贪婪的事情，忘记了享受生命，一切为时已晚。

看完了这则故事，会心一笑，联想起了天门山雾中的禅悟：空是一种境界。心境变得空灵，志趣才能淡泊，生活才能简单，宁静才能致远，生活才能随遇而安。

【五绝】游天门山有感： 来去本无根，腾挪上下奔。悲欢尘世隙，身后不留痕。

【English Translation:

Zhangjiajie - Mountain Tianmenshan

The heavy fog covered everywhere during my travel to Tianmenshan. Asking my friends who once traveled there, they all experienced the same heavy fog, nothing could be seen. In the fog, I started to comprehend the philosophic concept of the "Empty" in the Buddhism. In particular, when I saw splendidly ornamented Tianmenshan Temple appearing fitfully in the fog, and Buddha seating on lotus petals who half closed her eyes, I suddenly understood something from nowhere, which was too wonderful for words and gave me a sense of peace. I saw no monks walking by, not even one chanting Sutra. I thought through the meaning of “Empty” from “Fog” by myself standing there, seemingly was enlightened. Amitabha, The Lord! I regarded “Fog” as a Buddhist God, nothing could describe the feeling I had at that moment.

Recently I read a fable: A newly dead person met with a Buddha on the bridge that separated the life and the death. The Buddha was carrying a box with him that belonged to the dead person. The dead person asked the Buddha if those were his clothes and money. No, the Buddha said, the clothes and money belonged to the world he just left behind; the dead person asked if those were his family members and friends. No, the Buddha said again, the relatives and friends belonged to his journey in the world he just left behind; the dead person asked if that was his dead body, the Buddha said the body belonged to the dust; then it must be his soul, guessed the dead person. The Buddha said the soul belonged to the Buddha himself. The dead person disappointed and opened the box, it was empty! He questioned the Buddha why nothing was there? The Buddha told him that he actually had many precious moments while he was alive, and asked him if he cherished those moments. Listening to the words of the Buddha, the dead person started disillusion, and regretted his misbehavior, intrigues, and greedy instead of enjoying his life. It was too late for him.

I smiled after reading the story, which reminded me about thought of “Fog” and “Empty” in Tianmenshan: Zen is a kind of realm. Be ethereal, be indifferent, and be simple. Those attitudes can send you reaching far and make you happy.

【Tianmenshan Gnosis:

We brought nothing with us when we came, and nothing when we gone

We fought hard in a last-ditch effort, and proud what we have done.

We were just a short-lived passenger,

and disappeared without a trace, forever, like a smoking gun.】

1、这就是举世闻名的天门洞了。瞧那一副吞云吐雾的架势，气度非凡。

4、何去何从？回头是岸。

5、 超喜欢这种佛的境界。似梦非梦，亦幻亦真。

6、 天门山寺，始建于唐朝的灵泉院，属汉传佛教禅宗六祖惠能青源行思。

9、“身是菩提树，心如明镜台。时时勤拂拭，莫使有尘埃。”

17、山体内通往天门洞的隧道。这种手扶自动电梯隧道一共七节到天门洞口，如果不想走下去，还可以再坐五节到停车场。

20、99道弯。游览天门山有三种走法：A线，坐缆车上山，公交车下山；B线，坐公交车上山，缆车下山；C线，恐高的人可以坐公交车上下山。
