Ennio Morricone studied at Rome's Santa Cecilia Conservatory, His score for that film, with its sparse arrangements, unorthodox instrumentation (bells, electric guitars, harmonicas, the distinctive twang of the jew's harp) and memorable tunes, revolutionized the way music would be used in Westerns, and it is hard to think of a post-Morricone Western score that doesn't in some way reflect his influence. His name will always be synonymous with the spaghetti Western....
Pier Paolo Pasolini ; 5 March 1922 – 2 November 1975)

was an Italian film director, poet, writer and intellectual. Pasolini also distinguished himself as an actor, journalist, philosopher, novelist, playwright, filmmaker, painter and political figure. He remains a controversial personality in Italy to this day due to his blunt style and the focus of some of his works on taboo sexual matters, but he is an established major figure in European literature and cinematic arts. His murder prompted an outcry in some circles of Italy, with its circumstances continuing to be a matter of heated debate.... Summary of the music: The most of mainstream sites are marked the composer of the film is Ennio Morricone (or both Morricone and Pasolini). but we cannot find the film in the Morricone official web site. There is a explanation in the CHIMAI web site:"Ennio Morricone did not write or arrange any music for IL DECAMERON. He was only asked to advise on what music to use in the film, pre-existing music he had not written himself. The film's opening credits: "Music selected by the author [Pasolini] in collaboration with Maestro Ennio Morricone". So we can see that how important it is to unify the filmography's definition! Or at least the official website should have a definition of its own and make public to the world. Otherwise, it is not possible to unify that Everyone's understanding (inculde all web site and fans in the world, see our article here). The film's OST album has not yet been released up to now, may be related to this situation.

Without any album of the film is released up to now

See here for detail content

http://morricone.cn/tfm/tfm-1970-eng.htm
Directory of the column

https://a.meipian.cn/c/6125752

Welcome to “Morricone Fans” web site

http://morricone.cn/index-eng.htm
