Ernesto Cardenas: Author of English and Spanish non-fiction literature for elementary students. Twelve years of experience as a teacher, technology and literacy specialist, and campus administrator in the public school system.
Students will master basic Spanish language skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• The alphabet • How to answer questions about yourself • Numbers 1-20 • Basic vocabulary: colors, shapes, sizes, and pets • Body parts • Saying “yes” and “no” • Introducing and talking about the family • Finding your way around the house • Meals and things we like to eat • Basic traditional songs and rhymes
Students are expected to complete a collage project at the end of the course which will include the basic concepts learned during the course.
