<p class="ql-block"> 邮轮MSC航行第24天，我们来到了安提瓜和巴布达。这是加勒比海上一个仅有10万人口的小岛国，但人们都称它为加勒比海的一颗明珠。</p><p class="ql-block">On the 24th day of our cruise on MSC, we arrived at Antigua and Barbuda. This is a small island country in the Caribbean Sea with a population of only 100,000.Yet people call it a pearl of the Caribbean Sea.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 邮轮停靠在安提瓜圣约翰港口，一天的首都圣约翰游览虽然很累，但还是想用登船前的两个小时在市中心逛一逛，因为来一次这里不容易。</p><p class="ql-block">Upon arriving in Antigua and Barbuda, the cruise ship docked at St. John's port. Although a full day of exploring the capital, St. John, was tiring, I still wanted to spend the two hours before boarding wandering through the city center—after all, visiting here is not something one gets to do often.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 多年旅行，养成了一个习惯，就是每到一个国家，都要去博物馆看看，因为这是了解一个国家历史和文化最直接最高效的途径。</p><p class="ql-block">After years of traveling, I have developed a habit of visiting museums whenever I arrive in a new country. This is because it is the most direct and efficient way to learn about the history and culture of a particular country.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 问了几个当地人，终于找到了安提瓜和巴布达博物馆。它位于首都圣约翰市中心的朗街，其馆址是建于1750年的旧法院大楼，被认为是该市最古老的建筑之一。</p><p class="ql-block">After asking a few locals, I finally found the Antigua and Barbuda Museum. It is located on Long Street in the center of the capital, Saint John. The museum is housed in an old court building that was built in 1750 and is regarded as one of the oldest buildings in the city.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 馆内的主要藏品是原住民生活用品与考古文物，有在岛上考古发掘出的阿拉瓦克人的陶器、工具等文物，以及殖民时期的物品。</p><p class="ql-block">The main exhibits in the museum are indigenous people's daily items and archaeological relics. There are artifacts such as pottery and tools of the Alawake people discovered during the archaeological excavations on the island, as well as items from the colonial period.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 馆内还收藏有安提瓜著名板球运动员维夫·理查兹（Viv Richards）的雕像和他的板球拍。</p><p class="ql-block">The museum also houses a statue of the renowned Antiguan cricketer Viv Richards and his cricket bat.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 二楼设有一个图书馆，藏有关于前哥伦布时期的历史文物、陶瓷、地图、照片及大量文献资料，由于时间太紧，没有细看。</p><p class="ql-block">On the second floor, there is a library. It houses historical relics, ceramics, maps, photos and a large number of documents from the pre-Columbian era. Due to the tight schedule, I didn't have time to take a close look.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 回头体会一下安提瓜和巴布达的这个迷你博物馆，巴掌大、几步逛完，却把从阿拉瓦克人到独立的国家整部岛史塞得满满当当。</p><p class="ql-block">Take a moment to appreciate this miniature museum in Antigua and Barbuda.
