<p class="ql-block">我，一株不起眼的鸭跖草，因为长得像蝴蝶，也有人唤我翠蝴蝶、碧蝉花。</p> <p class="ql-block">我有着一节一节柔韧的青绿色茎秆，贴着地面匍匐蔓延，只要茎节触碰泥土，就能扎出新根，自在伸展。互生的叶片修长舒展，形似小小的竹叶，包裹着茎秆，自带一层温润的光泽。</p> <p class="ql-block">我最动人的模样，是清晨迎着露水绽放的小花。两枚澄澈透亮的靛蓝色花瓣向上舒展，像蝴蝶张开的双翼，底下藏着一枚小巧轻薄的白色花瓣，几根细长花蕊轻轻探出。我的花期格外短暂，只在清晨盛放，到正午烈日当头，蓝色花瓣便会悄然蜷起，结束一日的绚烂。</p> <p class="ql-block">田埂、溪边、墙角路旁，到处都是我的家。我不挑剔水土，凭着顽强的生命力肆意生长。待花期落幕，还会长出带盖子的蒴果，成熟之后，果盖轻轻掀开，散落出细小的种子，就会奔赴下一场山野之约。</p> <p class="ql-block">很多人只把我当作路边野草，却不知我的嫩叶可作野菜，全草可以入药。我从不奢求长久惊艳，扎根山野，自在生长，便是我的一生。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block">I am a common dayflower, also known as the emerald butterfly.</p><p class="ql-block">I have jointed creeping green stems that take root once touching soil, with slender leaves like bamb.oo blades. Every early morning, I bloom against dew. Two bright blue petals spread out like butterfly wings, matched with one tiny white petal. Sadly, my flowers only last a morning and wilt by noon.</p><p class="ql-block">I grow freely beside fields and streams with strong vitality. After blooming, my small seed capsules ripen and spread seeds. My tender leaves are edible and the whole herb can be used as medicine. I do not need everlasting beauty.
