While living near Nuremberg, Germany in the 1980s she developed many international literary and musical connections and and began a magazine called Gypsy.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">(1984‑1994). An interview with William Burroughs appeared in the 2nd issue. Bukowski appeared in the first three issues. She was also editor/publisher of Vergin’ Press which included books by Gerald Locklin, Alan Catlin, Judson Crew’s memoir of being Henry Miller’s assistant and many other books. She also produced several assemblage projects, an anthology on the Gulf War and an anthology on ecology projects, poems and stories called Earth Tones. From around 1983‑1990 she produced Sanctuary tape series, a compilation of original music and poetry from around the world. In the early 2000s she produced a podcast interview show called Belinda Subraman Presents that was broadcast on several internet stations. She continues to interview for BeatLife, the official magazine of the National Beat Poetry Foundation which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/@NewBeatLife</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">Belinda began an online show in 2020, called GAS: Poetry, Art and Music which features interviews, readings, performances and art show in a video format which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/@BelindaSubraman She also edits an online journal by the same name: https://gaspoertyartandmusic.blogspot.com/ Her books include Blue Rooms, Black Holes, White Lights, and Left Hand Dharma both from Unlikely Books and Full Moon Midnight from Roadside Press. So far she has been translated into Chinese, Italian, Hungarian and Albanian. She was named Texas Beat Poet Laureate (2024‑2026).</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">Since 2021 she has had a poem on the moon thanks to Samuel Peralta and his Lunar Codex: Cultural Archives on the Moon project. This year, thanks to PoetryMovement.org she has a poem mounted on a Racine, WI bus. Her archives up to 1994 reside at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">Belinda is also a mixed media artist. Her art has been featured in many online publications as well as print magazine and book covers. In November 2022 she won 2nd Place in the Sun Bowl Exhibit, the longest running art show in the Southwest (since 1949). In 2024 she won Best in Show at the Precious Objects exhibit at Crossland Gallery in El Paso. In 2026 she had a two woman show at Traffick Artspace in El Paso.</p>
