A few days ago, a friend asked me, "How come I didn't see you take your family on a trip this summer vacation?"

I replied, "I did! Didn't we go to Singapore for a few days at the beginning of July?"

My friend followed up, "That doesn't count. We all know you took the kids back to Singapore mainly because your son needed to report to the military for his physical check-up, and your daughter also had to get her biometric screening done for her Singapore ID A few days ago, a friend asked me, "How come I didn't see you take your family on a trip this summer vacation?"

I replied, "I did! From that perspective, going to Singapore doesn't really count as a trip. Well then, how about the last weekend we went back to my wife's hometown? Can that be considered a vacation?"

The friend laughed & said, "That counts even less. You just stayed in the countryside for 2 nights, and you spent both days holed up at home without going anywhere."

It seems that in my friend's understanding, a vacation or trip means going somewhere & stroll around.

I once heard a saying: You can be frugal, you can skip buying new clothes, you can even eat more simply & let yourself go appearance-wise. But you must get out of the house, you must never confine yourself indoors.

Only when you're outside can your nerves, your body, your subconscious, and your skin be awakened. That's when you're truly experiencing life.

So the meaning of going out & wandering around isn't just for the sake of roaming, it's about experiencing life itself.

Alright then, with less than a month of summer vacation left, do I have any plans to take my family out to experience life?

Stay tuned over the next few days, the answer will reveal itself..
