So this dish is always called Poyang Lake's grass and Nanchang city's treasure.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">藜蒿炒腊肉是江西南昌冬春两季的时令菜，因此该菜常被称为鄱阳湖里的草，南昌城里的宝。</p> <p class="ql-block">Pigweed is a characteristic wild aquatic plant in Poyang Lake. Most grow in the upgrade areas. lts root is white and the culm is as wide as chopsticks, with light sweet. Each year, after midwinter, the local people will cut its root into half an inch length, and then fry the pigweed with preserved ham, adding some seasonings such as refined salt and cooking wine. After a while, turn over pigweed and preserved ham in the boiler, then it is ready.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">藜蒿是鄱阳湖区特有的一种野生水草植物，多生长在上坡上，根部白色，茎如筷子粗，略带淡香。每年冬至过后，当地人便会取其根切成半寸长段，与腊肉丝煸炒，再加入适量精盐、料酒等佐料。待藜蒿略炒透将锅翻动几下，即成。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">The pigweed is in light green, with the root in white, while, the preserved ham is in golden red color. The pigweed is crisp, fragrant, sweet and refreshing. The preserved ham is salty. This dish looks delicious.
