　　邮轮停靠在巴斯特尔的赞特港，我们要探寻著名的罗姆尼庄园，这是一次穿越时空的花园漫步。The cruise ship docked at Zant Port in Bastel. We were going to explore the famous Romney Estate, which was a journey through time and space in a garden.

　　罗姆尼庄园，是圣基茨岛上的著名景点。

相传，这个地方最初是加勒比印第安酋长的定居点，后被移民萨姆•杰斐逊（美国总统托马斯•杰斐逊的曾曾祖父）占据，卖给罗姆尼伯爵，因此得名“罗姆尼庄园”。

Romney Estate is a famous attraction on the island of Saint Kitts.

Legend has it that this place was originally a settlement of the Caribbean Indian chief. Later, it was occupied by the immigrant Sam Jefferson (the great-great-grandfather of US President Thomas Jefferson) and sold to Earl Romney, hence it was named "Romney Estate".

　　庄园本身不大，可供参观的建筑也不多，但热带植物包围的环境很特别，热带雨林，奇花异草，让人流连忘返。

The manor is not large in size and there aren't many buildings for visitors to see. However, the environment surrounded by tropical plants is very special. The tropical rainforest, rare flowers and exotic plants make people linger and be unable to leave.

　　罗姆尼庄园里有一棵萨曼树，也叫雨树，有近400年的历史，是庄园的代表性的景观，非常有名气。树的主干很粗，树冠巨大，树的后方是海景，很美。

On Romney's estate, there is a Saman tree (also known as the Rain Tree), which has a history of nearly 400 years. It is the representative landscape of the estate and very famous. The main trunk of the tree is very thick and the tree crown is huge. In the rear of the tree is a sea view, which is very beautiful.

　　罗姆尼庄园内有个蜡染坊，可以参观蜡染制作过程。产品不便宜，一件蜡染衫要卖到99刀、139刀、199刀，虽说手工货，也太贵了吧！

There is a batik workshop at Romney Manor where you can observe the batik-making process. The products are not cheap; a single batik shirt can cost up to 99 dollars, 139 dollars, or 199 dollars. Even though it's handmade, it's still too expensive!

　　蓝天白云，热带雨林，植物染料蜡染的独特色彩，一幅幅加勒比风情的画面就展现在我们的面前。

Blue sky, white clouds, tropical rainforest, and the unique colors of plant dyeing and batik - a series of Caribbean-themed scenes are presented right before our eyes.
