A person comes into this world as the product of a union of love and passion between a man and a woman.
一个人之所以能来到这个世界，一场男欢女爱的产物。

Why do men and women engage in love and passion? It is dictated by the reproductive genes of the species.
为什么要男欢女爱，是物种的繁殖基因决定的，

This is not because they are lascivious, nor is there any shame in it.
这不是他们好色，也无所谓羞耻；

Once a person arrives in this world, survival becomes an instinctive need, and appetite is the most powerful desire that sustains life.
当人来到了这个世界，生存是一种本能需求，食欲是维系生命的最强烈的欲望，

Seeking survival and securing food and clothing are perfectly justified laws of existence.
求生存，要温饱是天经地义的生存法则。

In a class society, when a minority monopolizes survival resources and the distribution is extremely unjust, revolution becomes an inevitable choice. “Standing up” and “growing prosperous” are precisely about meeting the people’s needs for food and clothing.
阶级社会里少数人垄断生存资源，分配极其不公，革命是必然的选择，“站起来了，富起来了”就是要解决人民的温饱。
As the saying goes, “When one’s stomach is full and the body is warm, thoughts turn to lust.” As material life grows richer, human demands for spiritual life and for sex become more intense, more open and more diverse. How we view this sexual demand in the new era has become an unavoidable topic.
“饱暖思淫欲”，随着物质生活的丰富，人类对精神生活，对性的要求变得更加强烈，更加开放，更加多元，如何看待这种新时代人类对于性需求，成了一个不可回避的话题。

Out of sexual desire, women pursue beauty and fashion,
女性因为性欲，而追求美好、时尚，

They are willing to dress with refinement,
愿意精致地打扮自己，

They are willing to elevate their temperament and taste,
愿意提升自己的气质和品味，

And they have built up the cosmetics, apparel, accessories and jewelry fashion industries;
她们撑起了美妆、服装、首饰和珠宝时尚行业；

Out of sexual desire, men strive and struggle their entire lives, forging ahead,
男性因为性欲，而一生奋力拼搏，砥砺前行，

Pursuing a promising future and creating wealth—likewise, to gain women’s favor.
追求前程，创造财富同样，为了获得女性的亲睐。

In a certain sense,
从某种意义上说，

Men conquer the world precisely in order to conquer women;
男人征服世界，就是为了征服女性；

Women pursue beauty precisely in order to conquer men.
女人追求美好，就是为了征服男人。

As long as desire exists, love endures. The love of beauty and self-improvement, enterprise and innovation
欲望尚存，热爱便在，爱美向上，进取创新，

Generate life in perpetuity, full of vitality, driving social development and the progress of the times.
生生不息，生机勃勃，社会发展，时代进步。

But the “old diehards and remnants” of the old society still turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to this most fundamental underlying logic of how society works. On the social media platforms they control, they even pixelate the so-called “sensitive parts” when posting a photo of a nude sculpture and painting works from the Western Renaissance. To me, this is simply “laughable, foolish and ignorant”…
但旧社会的“遗老遗少”们仍然对这种最朴素的社会运行的底层逻辑置若罔闻，视而不见，他们在其控制的社交平台上连发布一张西方文艺复兴时代的裸体雕塑和绘画作品都要在所谓“敏感部位”打上马赛克，我只感觉“可笑、愚昧和无知”……

They do not understand that the beauty of the human body is the ultimate form of beauty and helps elevate the aesthetic taste of the masses. The more one covers up the realities of life, the more one increases the crimes and errors of “sexual ignorance.” The low marriage rate among the younger generation is, in a sense, a disguised pursuit of the diverse possibilities of “sexual desire.”
他们不懂得人体的美是美的极致，有助提升大众的审美情趣，越是掩盖生活的真实，越是会增加“性无知”的罪错，年青一代的低结婚率某种意义上是对“性欲”多元可能的变相追求。

Sexual desire, appetite, the desire to express, the desire to share—these normal human desires and needs are not so-called “great floods and savage beasts” but an “inexhaustible driving force” behind social progress.
性欲、食欲、表达欲、分享欲，人类正常的欲望需求不是所谓“洪水猛兽”，而是社会进步的“不竭动力”。

A society characterized by "low desires" represents not progress in civilization but regression.
