First, let me explain the title.
先把题目解释一下

"A hundred methods"—there are no fewer than a hundred ways Chinese people learn English.
“百法”，中国人学英语的方法不下一百种，

This shows both the importance of English and the Chinese people's passion for learning.
这说明了英语的重要，也说明了中国人的好学

"But still not mastering it"—very few people truly succeed.
“不中”，真正学出来的人很少，

My own case is proof: after fifty years, I still haven't learned it well.
就我个人的特例也能佐证，学了50年，没有学好，

It reveals that Chinese people are still in a painful search for how to learn English.

However, these fifty years of learning English in China have also exposed a big problem:

we have only been treating English as a "foreign language" to study,

and the mainstream language environment remains Chinese.
主流的语言环境仍然是中文、汉语，

It is time to elevate the status of English.

From the perspective of future globalization, the country needs to learn and use English as a second national language.

I have been thinking that in Chinese education, so many math, science, and natural science subjects are translated from English into Chinese,

How much money and how many lives have the Chinese people spent learning English over these fifty years?

All of this is the result of the misguided decisions of education officials.

而这一切都是教育高管们的决策失误造成的，

The way they designed English learning for the Chinese people still clings to a "Lord Ye's love of dragons" style of "petty nationalism."

他们设计的中国人学英语仍然延用“叶公好龙”的“民族狭隘主义”心态，

They know English is important, but they refuse to learn it as a "second language"…

知道英语重要，但就不把它当成“第二语言”来学……

Studying isn't for practical use; it's solely for exams.

学不是为了用，只是为了考，

Education is not meant to cultivate individuals,

教育不是为了培养人，

but merely to keep the educational system running.

而只是为了维持教育机器的运转。

It is time for the country to revise the *Law on the Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language* and learn from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Vietnam,

是时候，国家要修订《语言文字法》，要向香港、新加坡、越南学习，

openly and confidently making English China's second language for learning.

大大方方地把英语作为中国的第二语言来学，

(An indisputable fact is that Chinese students spend most of their student lives focused on learning English.)

（一个不争的事实是，中国学生的学生时代主要精力都在学英语）

Only this can fundamentally solve the problem of China lacking an English language environment for learning.

唯此才能从根本上解决中国学习英语没有语言环境的问题，

This will also fundamentally solve the problem of people worldwide finding Chinese difficult to learn.

这也才能从根本上解决全世界的人感到汉语难学的问题，

1.4 billion Chinese people mastering both English and Chinese would be the world's great practitioners of bilingualism.

掌握了英汉双语的十四亿中国人是世界英汉双语的践行大师，

The whole world would truly communicate without barriers, interact without obstacles,

全世界将真正做到沟通无碍，交流无碍，

and the "community with a shared future for mankind" would then have a strong linguistic foundation.

“人类的命运共同体”才有强大的语言基础，

The "conflict of civilizations" is a clash of ways of thinking and, in a sense,

“文明的冲突”是思维方式的冲突，

also a conflict of languages.

在某种意义上也是语言的冲突。

As Chinese people with a sense of responsibility,

有担当的中国人，

Huawei is a national role model in this aspect of English.

在使用英语这点上,华为是全国的榜样。

we ardently hope for a world without war, famine, or disease—a true "Great Harmony."

我们热烈期盼这个世界没有战争、没有饥荒、没有疾病，真正实现“世界大同”。

Chinese people must start by transforming the environment for "learning English."

中国人要从改造“学英语”的环境入手。

For this reason, I will continue to persevere in learning English and using both English and Chinese.

为此，我还会坚持学英语，坚持使用英汉双语。

I will devote myself wholeheartedly until my last breath.

鞠躬尽瘁，死而后已。

Never say give up till I die.
