作为一名长期关注文化艺术的媒体人，我见过太多风格各异的艺术家，但真正能走进心里、让我由衷敬佩并想要全力推介的，却寥寥无几。雕塑家、天垂象派中国艺术文字创始人李刚先生，法号一禅，便是那位一见倾心、久久难忘的当代艺术大家。

As a media person who has been paying attention to culture and art for a long time, I have met too many artists with different styles, but it is be able to count on the fingers that can really enter my heart, make me sincerely admire and want to fully promote. Mr. Li Gang, a sculptor and founder of Chinese art characters of Tianchui Elephant School, is the love at first sight. and unforgettable contemporary artist.

和李刚先生的初次相遇，是在他充满墨香与雕塑质感的工作室里。那一幕至今清晰地印在我脑海：先生头戴工作帽，周身透着浑然天成的艺术气场，眉眼间带着几分西域特有的俊朗，像极了温润谦和的新疆维吾尔族长者。后来我才知晓，先生出生、成长、深耕艺术的岁月都在新疆，那片辽阔苍茫的西域大地，早已把宽厚、质朴与苍茫的美学风骨，刻进了他的骨血，之后他来到北京，在文化中心继续书写着属于中国当代艺术的传奇。

I first met Mr. Li Gang in his studio full of ink fragrance and sculpture texture. That scene is still clearly printed in my mind: Mr. Wang wears a work cap, his whole body is full of like nature itself--highest quality's artistic aura, and his eyebrows are somewhat handsome in the Western Regions, much like the warm and modest Xinjiang Uygur elders. Later, I learned that Mr. Wang was born, grew up and deeply cultivated in art in Xinjiang. The vast Western Regions had already engraved his generous, simple and boundless aesthetic character into his bones and blood. After that, he came to Beijing and continued to write legends belonging to Chinese contemporary art in the cultural center.

李刚先生是一位真正集大成的“三位一体”艺术家。他早期八十年代曾进修中央美术学院油画专业学习，90年代又在中央美术学院雕塑专业学习，并完成硕士研究生主要课程。他三进中央美术学院深造学习。更有着自幼打下的扎实书法童子功，油画、雕塑、书法三门艺术精修贯通，这般功底在当代艺术界实属罕见。

先生的书法，大气磅礴、行云流水，笔力千钧又洒脱自在，自成一派、独树一帜，字里行间都是天地格局；他的油画更是一绝，色彩灵动跳跃，如同在钢琴上拨动琴弦，奏响一曲震撼人心的视觉交响乐，带给人强烈的视觉冲击与无尽的艺术遐想，让人看一眼便久久不能忘怀。

Mr. Li Gang is a truly integrated " Trinity" artist. He studied oil painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the early 1980s and sculpture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the 1990s, completing major postgraduate courses. He went to the Central Academy of Fine Arts for further study. He also has a solid calligraphy boy's skill laid since childhood, and the three arts of oil painting, sculpture and calligraphy are refined and integrated, which is rare in contemporary art circles.

Mr. Wang's calligraphy, grand and magnificent and writing naturally and smoothly like floating clouds and flowing water, is free and easy, forming its own school and develop a school of one's own, and there are heaven and earth patterns between the lines; His oil paintings are even more unique, with smart colors jumping, just like plucking strings on the piano and playing a shocking visual symphony, which brings people a strong visual impact and endless artistic reverie, and makes people unforgettable for a long time at a glance.

疫情三年，当很多人陷入迷茫与浮躁时，李刚先生却沉下心来，深耕中华文化内核，带着对华夏文明的深刻思考与赤诚热爱，潜心原创了一系列极具文化丰碑意义的中国艺术文字作品《文字1号中国人》《天问1号》《吉祥文字》《吉祥百家姓》《易经》等系列横空出世。这些作品绝非简单的文字书写，而是以天垂象派的独特艺术视角，将中华文字的根脉、文化的内涵、哲学的智慧与艺术的美感深度融合，每一个字都藏着文化密码，每一幅作品都饱含着对中华文化的深情与传承。

During the three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, while many people were lost in confusion and restlessness, Mr. Li Gang stayed focused and delved deep into the core of Chinese culture. Driven by profound reflections on and sincere love for Chinese civilization, he dedicated himself to creating a series of original Chinese artistic calligraphy works that stand as cultural landmarks, including *Character No. 1: The Chinese People*, *Tianwen No. 1*, *Auspicious Characters*, *Auspicious Hundred Family Surnames* and *The Book of Changes*. These works are far more than mere calligraphy; from the unique artistic perspective of the "Tian Chu Xiang" school, they deeply integrate the roots of Chinese characters, cultural connotations, philosophical wisdom and artistic aesthetics. Every character holds a cultural code, and every piece is filled with deep affection for and commitment to inheriting Chinese culture.

天垂象，取自古籍“天垂象，见吉凶，圣人象之”，李刚先生创立的天垂象派中国艺术文字，正是以天地为法、以文化为根，把东方哲学、传统美学与当代艺术表达完美结合，让古老的中国文字以全新的艺术形态绽放光彩。他用雕塑的立体思维、敦煌的色彩美学、书法的笔墨神韵，重新解构演绎中华文字，让《易经》的玄妙哲理、《吉祥百家姓》的宗族根脉、《吉祥文字》的美好祈福，都变成了可看、可感、可品的艺术瑰宝，这是对中华文化的创新性发展，更是对中华文脉的创造性转化。

With the three-dimensional thinking of sculpture, the color aesthetics of Dunhuang and the pen and ink charm of calligraphy, he deconstructed and interpreted Chinese characters again, making the mysterious philosophy of the Book of Changes, the clan roots of " auspicious hundred surnames" and the beautiful prayers of " auspicious characters" become artistic treasures that can be seen, felt and tasted, which is an innovative development of Chinese culture and a creative transformation of Chinese context.
