She began working with clay while recovering from a serious car accident. She spent many hours in her garden, as her work shows, "My lady vases are a reflection of my humorous side, and my love of 'folk' art." </p><p class="ql-block">She designed a whole series of these ladies and they were reproduced and sold by the Ganz company until the entire line was retired in 2006. They are becoming very hard to find. Her hand-signed and numbered pieces are avidly collected throughout North America. </p><p class="ql-block">My collection： EMILY by Susan Paley.
