<p class="ql-block">2025年拍摄的昆虫品种有所减退，主要是因为之前几年见识的小昆虫比较多，现在再见到少了一些冲动拍照，另外，广州由于防治基孔肯雅症疫情，到处都在喷杀农药，现在在市区很难见到小昆虫，植物园也越来越少了，只能到郊外拍摄。</p><p class="ql-block">The variety of insect species photographed in the year of 2025 decreased. The main reason was that we had seen so many species in the past years and we were not so exciting to take pictures of the same species. Another reason was that in Guangzhou there was the prevention and control of the chikungunya fever epidemic. Everywhere there was spraying of pesticides. Now you can hardly see insects in the city and even in the botanical garden we could see less and less insects. We could only go to suburbs to take pictures. </p> <p class="ql-block">优雅的兰花螳螂 <span style="font-size:18px;">Elegant Hymenopus coronatus</span></p><p class="ql-block">去年2月份我们在电视上看到华南植物园从云南借来了两只兰花螳螂, 共展示4 天。为了一睹芳容，我们冒雨去了植物园，结果只是隔着玻璃橱窗，远隔一米开外拍了个轮廓。今年感谢我朋友带来两只小可爱，让我们拍了个痛快，实现了拍兰花螳螂的自由。</p><p class="ql-block">In Feb. last year we saw in TV that South China Botanical Garden borrowed two <span style="font-size:18px;">Hymenopus coronatus from Yunnan for a show of 4 days. In order to see their beauty we went there in the rain and finally we could only see them through the glass window and could only take pictures of the outlines from 1 meter away. This year thanks to my friend, who brought us two lovely Hymenopus coronatus. We could take pictures as many as we like，realizing the wish of freedom to take pictures of Hymenopus coronatus.</span></p> <p class="ql-block">诗和远方（兰花螳螂）Poetry and distant places (Hymenopus coronatus)</p> <p class="ql-block">穿上婚纱的黄色玻璃螳螂 Yellow Sinomantis denticulata in her wedding dress </p><p class="ql-block">我特别喜欢玻璃螳螂的通透，穿上婚纱后是螳螂的高光时刻。穿上美丽的婚纱，也就可以自由飞翔了。螳螂最后一次蜕皮是其生命周期中的关键转折点，标志着从若虫到成虫的彻底转变。性器官发育成熟，具备繁殖功能。生命周期也进入了倒计时。成虫期通常持续数周至数月，完成繁殖后，螳螂会逐渐衰老死亡。</p><p class="ql-block">I specially like the transparency of Sinomantis denticulata. It is the high time when mantis wears its wedding dress. After wearing a beautiful wedding dress, it can fly freely. The last moult of the mantis is a key turning point in its life cycle, marking the complete transformation from nymphs to adults. Sexual organs are mature and they have the function of reproduction. The life cycle has also entered the countdown. The adult phase usually lasts for weeks to months. They are the masters of disguise in the spider family. They look like ants but when you look closely you will find out that their heads are like Salticidae. They have eight eyes and the two big eyes in the middle seem to communicate with you. There are two purposes for Myrmarachnes to imitate ants. One of them is that they let the natural enemy mistakenly believe that they are ants and will not eat them. The other purpose is to infiltrate into ants' nests to steal and eat the larva of ants.</p> <p class="ql-block">可爱的中华雨蛙 Lovely Hyla chinensis</p><p class="ql-block">今年8月份有幸跟随老师去了广西崇左拍摄，这种雨娃就生活在我们住的民宿附近，我们连续几天早上一早起来拍摄这些雨娃。</p><p class="ql-block">In Aug. this year we were lucky to follow the teacher to Chongzuo Guangxi province to take photos. This type of <span style="font-size:18px;">Hyla chinensis just lived nearby the gusthouse we stayed. We got up early continuously for a few days to take photos of them. </span></p> <p class="ql-block">凭祥睑虎 Pingxiang Goniurosaurus</p><p class="ql-block">这是1999年才被发现的睑虎，产自广西凭祥，故称凭祥睑虎。凭祥睑虎的种群数量不多，被列入（中国国家重点保护野生动物名录）二级。</p><p class="ql-block">This <span style="font-size:18px;">Goniurosaurus was only discovered in year 1999 in Pingxiang Guangxi province . Therefore it was called Pingxiang Goniurosaurus. As they are small in population, they were listed as second-level in the List of National Key Protected Wild Animals in China.</span></p> <p class="ql-block">去崇左其中一个目标就为了拍到这种凭祥睑虎。</p><p class="ql-block">One of our tagets to go to Chongzuo was to take pictures of Pingxiang Goniurosaurus.</p> <p class="ql-block">曙凤蝶的爱 The love of Atrophaneura horishana</p><p class="ql-block">在崇左，我们见到了这对蝴蝶在交尾，第一次见到这么大的蝴蝶交尾。</p><p class="ql-block">In Chongzuo we saw the mating of this pair of butterflies. It was the first time to see so big butterflies mating. </p> <p class="ql-block">别烦我 （雨蛙）Don't bother me (Hyla chinensis)</p><p class="ql-block">在我们拍摄的过程中，飞来了这只小蜂，停在了雨娃眼角，非常有趣。</p><p class="ql-block">It was so interesting that while we were taking pictures of this <span style="font-size:18px;">Hyla chinensis, a small bee flied over and just stayed at the corner of the eye of this Hyla chinensis.</span></p> <p class="ql-block">斑腿泛树蛙宝宝 Polypedates megacephalus baby </p> <p class="ql-block">鞋斑无垫蜂 Amegilla calceifera</p><p class="ql-block">这种蜜蜂最特别的就是它们的睡觉方式。晚间集体离巢，用大颚咬住植物枝条，六足一缩，一只挨着一只睡觉。大颚特化为大钳子，末端小机关可自动 “上锁”，能毫不费力地咬着小树枝休息。这种集体离巢睡觉现象在蜂类中较为罕见。</p><p class="ql-block">The most special thing about this type of bee is their sleeping way. They leave their nests collectively at night. They bite the plant branches with their large mandibles, they huddle together their six legs and they sleep next to each other. Their mandibles are specially turned into large pincers with a small locking mechanism at the tip. They can effortlessly sleep by biting the small branches. In Nov. last year, I bought the special lens to be used together with my camera. The details in the photos are very clear. The disadvantage is that the back ground is always black，which makes the limitation. Although we can use back ground cards, it is not natural. Then we found another spider outside the net. We cut down the leaf and could not find the spider any more. We walked some distances and stop to take pictures of the spider guarding the eggs. Suddenly we found out that the other spider fell on my trousers. We put them together and the scene of mating occurred unexpectedly. It was really wonderful! I was lucky that this year I could have it too. </p> <p class="ql-block">蛋糕头蜉蝣 Ephemeroptera with cake- head</p><p class="ql-block">这种蜉蝣身体只有蚊子大小，因为头部长得像蛋糕，我们称之为蛋糕头蜉蝣。头部细节很漂亮，深受我们的喜爱。This type of Ephemeroptera is as small as a mosquito and its head looks like a cake. Therefore we called it as cake-head Ephemeroptera.
