QEP Community Centre in Oakville, Ontario. Titled “Nine Regions, One Gallop – Welcoming the Year of the Horse,” the event was initiated by Ignite Spirit Global (ISG) and fully planned, organized, and hosted by youth volunteers.</p><p class="ql-block">More than a festive performance, the afternoon became a cross-cultural dialogue—one that explored identity, purpose, youth leadership, and a deeper definition of prosperity.</p> <p class="ql-block">The Horse as a Life Metaphor</p><p class="ql-block">In both Eastern and Western traditions, the horse symbolizes speed, courage, beauty, endurance, and freedom. During the keynote address, ISG founder Shelly Wu departed from her prepared remarks just moments before taking the stage.</p><p class="ql-block">Instead, she invited the audience into a reflective exercise:</p><p class="ql-block">“In many cultures, the horse represents different strengths.</p><p class="ql-block">Today, imagine four horses: the fastest, the most beautiful, the safest, and the quietest.</p><p class="ql-block">Which one represents the stage of life you are in right now?”</p><p class="ql-block">Before inviting responses, she shared her own journey.</p><p class="ql-block">Arriving in Canada in 2003, Wu described seasons of her life defined by speed—building a business, supporting family, and carrying responsibility.
