Much of that success can be traced back to the thoughtful planning and strong leadership behind the scenes.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Today, I will make the invisible visible.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">First of all, I would like to take a special moment to acknowledge the meeting manager, Zoe.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Zoe may well be one of the longest-standing members of our club, but what truly sets her apart is not the length of time—it is the depth of impact she has brought to us.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">I still remember the moment Zoe stepped onto the Haikou Toastmasters Club stage for the very first time, seven years ago. It felt as if a warm, shining glow filled the room.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Over the years, I have witnessed with my own eyes how, through dedication and vision, Zoe has helped elevate our club to a remarkably high standard.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Zoe is not only a passionate social activist and a refined wine expert, but also a highly accomplished graphic designer. I invite everyone to take another look at today’s meeting poster—designed by Zoe.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">A group of people walking toward a door shaped like the letter “I.” Simple, elegant, and rich in meaning—it perfectly reflects her taste and professionalism.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Today, I take this moment to say something I have long wished to say to Zoe: thank you!</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Turning to our Toastmaster of the Day, Susie—she once again demonstrated why she is a provincial champion. I was one of the judges in that competition, and to be honest, I did not favor her at all. Yet she conquered every judge with her outstanding speaking skills.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Today, her hosting flowed effortlessly—calm, confident, and gracious—creating a truly welcoming, “feel-at-home” atmosphere for everyone present.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Today’s two Individual Evaluators, Zefan and Yudian, our current president and ex-president, were given an especially demanding task: evaluating two heavyweight speakers. As expected, both of our club presidents rose to the challenge. Their evaluations were precise, insightful, and powerful—exactly what such high-quality speeches deserved.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Truly, it took presidents to evaluate presidents.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">For our Table Topics Master, Rita—I am always amazed by the remarkable progress you have made in your English. The speed of your improvement is truly lightning-fast. Today’s Table Topics were thoughtfully designed around Free Trade Port scenarios. They offered speakers plenty to talk about while remaining approachable and achievable—challenging enough to inspire, but never intimidating.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Well done, Rita.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Our Table Topics Evaluator, Winnie, another champion among us, once again impressed us with her lively and down-to-earth style. Her feedback was playful yet sharp, natural and fluent. Her speaking style always reminds me of a beautiful creature—a fox: smart, witty, and quick-moving. She has a wonderful ability to identify both strengths and growth points, helping speakers improve while laughing along the way.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">I would also like to recognize our Sergeant at Arms, Katniss, who arrived early and ensured everything was thoughtfully arranged—taking care of everyone, including those two adorable twin girls. Her quiet dedication laid a solid foundation for the smooth running of the meeting.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Did I cover every facilitator?</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Ah yes—our Game Organizer, Yolanda!</p><p class="ql-block">As you know, our club has held more than two hundred meetings, which means we have played more than two hundred games. That makes game design a real challenge. Yet today, Yolanda surprised us with a brilliant and refreshing game—one many of us had never played before. Judging by the laughter and engagement in the room, we entered the meeting spirit very quickly. Well done!</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Our Grammarian, Lynn, fixed the bugs in our words and helped us sharpen our language, while our Timer Dan reminded us to stay disciplined and respectful of one another’s time.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">In conclusion, today’s meeting demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and a shared commitment to excellence.
