The 2026 Toronto Chinese Guitar Spring Gala, presented by the Chinese Canadian Solo Guitar Society (CCSGS), will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at EVS Private School, located at 9500 Dufferin Street, Vaughan.Now in its third consecutive year, the Toronto Chinese Guitar Spring Gala has steadily grown into a recognized platform for Chinese and cross-cultural music exchange. The first edition partnered with York Region Open Mic, followed by a collaboration with the York/Durham Fingerstyle Guitar Association in its second year—both drawing enthusiastic audiences and strong community response.In 2026, the organizers introduce their most ambitious and symbolic edition yet:the “Shuxin Women Musicians Special”, an all- female performers gala.Unlike previous years, this edition expands beyond guitar performance. While rooted in the guitar community, the gala now welcomes multiple instruments, with every note performed and sung exclusively by women musicians. More than a dozen accomplished female artists from across the Greater Toronto Area will take the stage, presenting solo performances, ensembles, and band collaborations featuring guitar, keyboard, drums, violin, erhu, guzheng, and more— blending Eastern and Western musical traditions.A special highlight of the evening will be a guest performance by the Changjiang Art Troupe Women’s Choir, one of Toronto’s most respected Chinese women’s vocal ensembles, adding choral depth and emotional resonance to the program.The timing of the gala is no coincidence.
