As Thousands of Yellows and Reds Welcome Early Winter
　　千 黄 万 红 入 初 冬
The season has passed Lesser Snow,
时令已过小雪，

And the cold wave approaches step by step.
寒潮步步紧逼。

The northern land is ice-bound,
北国冰封大地，

With skiing and ice-skating in delight.
滑雪溜冰嬉戏。

The motherland’s territory is vast,
祖国疆域辽阔，

And autumn still lingers in the south of the Yangtze.
江南仍是秋色。

Ginkgo trees glow in golden hues,
银杏泛着金黄，

While feathery cypresses reflect fiery red.
羽杉映着火红。

The ancient verse says,
古道是：

“Myriads of purple and reds always mean spring.”
万紫千红总是春。

But do you not see
君不见，

That autumn is becoming a second spring?
秋正成为第二春。

So let us rejoice heartily,
尽情乐，

As thousands of yellows and reds welcome early winter.
千黄万红入初冬。
