<p class="ql-block"> 龙湖古寨，位于潮州市潮安区，地处韩江之滨。古寨始创于宋，围寨于明，繁盛于清，见证了潮汕地区的历史变迁。</p><p class="ql-block">Longhu Ancient Village is located in Chao'an District, Chaozhou City, on the banks of the Han River. The village was founded in the Song Dynasty, surrounded by a fortification in the Ming Dynasty, and flourished in the Qing Dynasty. It has witnessed the historical changes of the Chaoshan region.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 古寨至今已有1000多年的历史，曾是旺极一时的潮州府对外商埠，被誉为“小潮州城”。</p><p class="ql-block">The ancient village has a history of over 1,000 years. It was once the commercial port for the prosperous Zhuangzhou Prefecture and was hailed as "Little Zhuangzhou City".</p> <p class="ql-block"> 寨内有宗族祠堂、名宦府第和商贾豪宅100多座。这些古建筑，荟萃了木雕、石雕、彩绘等民间工艺，雕梁画栋，古色古香。</p><p class="ql-block">Inside the village, there are over 100 ancestral halls, mansions of prominent officials and wealthy merchants. These ancient buildings showcase various folk crafts such as woodcarving, stone carving and painting, with ornate beams and pillars, exuding a classic and elegant atmosphere.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block"> 全盛时期，全寨书斋不少于30处，多是富户人家创立，或是以宗族名义创办。历史上出过进士、举人53人。</p><p class="ql-block">During its heyday, there were no fewer than 30 study rooms in the entire village. Most of them were established by wealthy families or in the name of the clan. Historically, 53 scholars, including those who became jinshi (top-ranking scholar) and zhuangyuan (top scholar of the province), graduated from this area.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 2012年11月龙湖古寨入选广东十大最美古村落。</p><p class="ql-block">In November 2012, Longhu Ancient Village was selected as one of the top ten most beautiful ancient villages in Guangdong Province.</p> <p class="ql-block">END</p>
