It was the highest official institution of learning in ancient Jieyang and is a historical and cultural landmark of the ancient city, featuring distinct characteristics of the Chaoshan region.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 揭阳楼，高达38米，临榕江，是揭阳市的象征，于2010年12月6日建成，有望成为具有历史象征意义的城市地标。</p><p class="ql-block">Jieyang Tower, standing at 38 meters tall and facing the Rongjiang River, is the symbol of Jieyang City.
