<p class="ql-block"> 揭阳城隍庙位于揭阳市榕城区，始建于1140年，后由县丞许德重建。现存建筑保留明清风格，全国重点文物保护单位。</p><p class="ql-block">Jieyang City God Temple is located in Rongcheng District, Jieyang City. It was first built in 1140 and later reconstructed by County Magistrate Xu De. The existing buildings retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and are a key national cultural relic protection unit.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 城隍庙坐北朝南，包含三山门、大殿、钟鼓楼、夫人厅等。庙内有大量楹联，文字富有深意。</p><p class="ql-block">The Town God Temple faces north and south. It consists of the Three Hills Gate, the main hall, the bell and drum tower, and the concubine hall, among others. The temple features numerous couplets with profound meanings.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 最值得一看的是嵌瓷。人们用彩色瓷片堆砌、制作成人物和花鸟等造型，镶嵌在祠堂、庙宇、民居等建筑物的屋脊、檐角上，栩栩如生，独一无二。</p><p class="ql-block">The most worth-seeing part is the inlay porcelain. People use colorful porcelain pieces to build and create various shapes such as figures and flowers and birds, and then embed them on the roof ridges and eaves corners of buildings like temples, shrines and residential houses. They are extremely lifelike and unique.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 嵌瓷起源于明代，以其寓意吉祥，色彩艳丽，手法独特，永不褪色深受潮汕人的喜爱，现被收入国家级非物质文化遗产名录。</p><p class="ql-block">Inlay porcelain originated in the Ming Dynasty. It is favored by people in Chaoshan region for its auspicious symbolism, bright colors, unique techniques and permanent color retention. It has now been included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 每年农历正月廿三，城隍庙举行庙会巡游，涵盖英歌舞、舞狮等民俗活动，被列为市级非物质文化遗产。</p><p class="ql-block">Every year on the 23rd day of the first lunar month, the City God Temple holds a temple fair parade, featuring folk activities such as the Yinggu Dance and the Lion Dance, and it has been listed as a municipal-level intangible cultural heritage.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 这里香火旺盛，人们在这里祈福国泰民安，希望心想事成。</p><p class="ql-block">Here, the place is bustling with devotees.
