Over 20 volunteers participated in total. </span></p> <p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;">Recruitment Announcement for the "Double Ninth Festival: Deep Respect for the Elderly" Volunteer Service Activity</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;"> </span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;"> The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the Double Ninth Festival, a traditional Chinese festival also known as the "Elderly Festival". Respecting and caring for the elderly is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. With the upcoming Double Ninth Festival, it is essential to organize a volunteer service activity themed "Respecting and Caring for the Elderly". We hereby arrange a volunteer activity for caring for the elderly on Saturday afternoon, and we hope teammates with available time will actively sign up for it.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;">1. Activity Content</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;">- Organize volunteers to chat with the elderly and share daily stories. Volunteers with talents can give small performances for the elderly, including singing, dancing, poetry recitation, etc.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;">- Other teammates shall be ready to applaud the performers in time and watch the small performances together with the elderly. Teammates with other good suggestions may send private messages to the activity leader.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;">4. They prepared 10 small performances for the elderly; the elderly also happily joined the performance session—they sang excerpts from the Qinqiang opera Three Drops of Blood, as well as revolutionary songs like Nanniwan and A Pot of Aged Wine, which won waves of applause from everyone. The volunteers were delighted to see this and took turns presenting their well-prepared small performances. Particularly, members of the art team performed the dances Respect Parents and Flowers Blooming at the Foot of the Mountain; their graceful movements and bright smiles won continuous applause from the elderly. Several elderly ladies shouted, "One more! One more!" which pushed the activity to a climax. In response, the team went on to perform the song-and-dance The First Secretary Goes to the Countryside, and volunteer An'an also danced Support for the elderly. Poetry recitation enthusiasts recited works including That Is a Cricket, When Growing Old, Nostalgia and I Am a Grain of Dust for the elderly.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;"> Young volunteers, who came to the care home with their "caring mothers" to showcase their talents: Student Chang Jiayue performed the ribbon dance Ribbon Dance, and Student Chen Zhixin recited Dad, You Can Grow Old Without Worry for the elderly, which touched everyone present. In addition, Student Liu Jinyi—who has persisted in public welfare activities for 8 years—led all volunteers in singing Learn from Comrade Lei Feng. The activity drew to a close amid everyone's singing; after the event, the volunteers did not leave with peace of mind until they safely escorted all the elderly back to their rooms.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;"> Special thanks go to Ms. Xue Fenxia (a caring person) for donating walking canes to the elderly with limited mobility, and to caring volunteers for donating 5 boxes of Yaoshi Pain-Relieving Plasters to the elderly.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;"> The "Double Ninth Festival: Deep Respect for the Elderly" Volunteer Activity was successfully and smoothly completed with the strong support and cooperation of all team members. We greatly appreciate everyone's support and collaboration. We hope we can continue to organize and participate in such activities when available—doing our best to serve the society, help others, and bring joy to ourselves.</span></p> <p class="ql-block"> “九九重阳节 浓浓敬老情”志愿活动总结</p><p class="ql-block"> 渭南青年志愿服务队在“重阳节”即将到来之前，利用周末时间，特组织了一场敬老爱老志愿服务活动。</p><p class="ql-block"> 10.25日下午两点半，志愿者相约一起来到临渭区颐鑫苑老年公寓，大家为老人们准备了十个小节目，现场老人们也开心的加入展演环节，他们唱了秦腔《三滴血》选段，还唱了《南泥湾》《一壶老酒》等一些红歌，赢得了大家的阵阵掌声。队友们看在眼里喜在心里，他们也纷纷为老人们献上了自己精心准备的小节目，尤其是文艺小分队的队友，他们为老人们表演的是舞蹈《孝敬爹和妈》和《花儿开在山脚下》优美的舞姿，灿烂的笑容赢得老人们阵阵掌声，几位阿姨说：“再来一曲，再来一曲”。将活动推向高潮，小分队就接着再为老人们表演了一个歌伴舞《第一书记下乡来》，志愿者安安也为老人们跳了一曲《搀扶》。朗诵爱好者，为老人们朗诵了《那就是一只蟋蟀》、《变老的时候》、《乡愁》、《我是一粒微尘》。我们的小小志愿者，他们跟着爱心妈妈来到敬老院为老人们表演才艺：常嘉悦同学为大家带来舞蹈《彩带舞》和陈芷垶同学为爷爷奶奶朗诵的《爸，你可以放心的老了》，打动了在场的所有人。还有坚持公益活动八年之久的刘锦怡同学，带着全体志愿者唱《学习雷锋好榜样》。活动在大家的歌声中接近尾声，活动结束后，志愿者把老人们安全送回房中才放心的离开。</p><p class="ql-block"> 特别感谢爱心人士薛粉霞女士为腿脚不方便老人赠送的拐杖，还有爱心志愿者为老人赠送的五盒姚氏止痛膏药。</p><p class="ql-block"> “九九重阳节 浓浓敬老情”志愿服务活动在队友们的大力支持和配合下顺利圆满完成。非常感谢大家的支持与配合，希望以后我们有时间继续一起做活动，尽己所能，服务社会，帮助他人，快乐自己。</p>
