Yunlong Shuhui, a favored disciple of Master Hsing Yun and the founder of the broad-brush technique, will land at the Art Space of Hong Kong Museum at the end of 2025 to present a Zen painting mini-exhibition. He invites you to get up close and touch the essence of Oriental aesthetics that embodies "Zen in calligraphy and meaning in painting".</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Key Highlights of the Exhibition</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">- Debut of the Original 1.8 Million RMB Auctioned Work: Zen Realm, a one-square-foot work that wowed the audience and sold for 1.8 million RMB at the Hong Kong Fortune Forum, will make its first public appearance this time. Meanwhile, many popular auction works such as Unstoppable and The Best in the World will also be on display. This allows you to observe the ink texture of these million-level Zen paintings up close and feel the strength and Zen charm in the broad-brush lines.</p><p class="ql-block">- "Cross-boundary" Interpretation of the Broad-Brush Technique: A "Technique Sharing Corner" is specially set up in the exhibition. It will align with the content of Yunlong Shuhui's monograph Analysis of Yunlong Shuhui's Broad-Brush Techniques, and on-site explain the creative logic of "integrating the essence of Hanli calligraphy into broad-brush" as well as the compositional ingenuity of Zen elements like bodhi leaves and tea cups. Even if you know little about calligraphy and painting, you can understand the cultural connotation behind each brushstroke.</p><p class="ql-block">- Exclusive Appreciation of Prajna Zodiac Series: Selected masterpieces from the Prajna Zodiac series will be exhibited. These works deeply integrate zodiac totems with "Prajna wisdom", boasting both the elegant charm of traditional literati paintings and the tension of modern aesthetics.
