Today I got the opportunity to leave the office earlier. Well, it wasn’t really that early—just 2 hours earlier than usual, at 2:00 p.m., which was perfect for a nap. When I got home, it was still very hot, so I turned on the air conditioner. By the time I woke up, 2 hours had passed. I was really surprised at how sleepy I was; I didn’t expect to sleep for so long, and it even took me quite a while to fully wake up.

After that, I watched a touching short video that made me shed a few tears. Let me share its story with you—it’s called Silent Summer. In high school, a boy fell in love with a girl and often sent her phalaenopsis. Before a dance competition (when the girl was changing clothes), a bad boy secretly took photos of her. To protect her, the boy fought the secret photographer and accidentally crippled him, landing himself in jail. To safeguard the girl’s reputation, he stayed silent and avoided her even after release. It wasn’t until the crippled boy tracked, abducted and harmed the girl that he finally showed up and told the truth. In the end, they got married and lived happily.

I think such short videos are more than just relaxation—they give me energy to move forward. I admire the girl: she’s brave, talented in dancing, keeps improving herself, and stays calm in danger. The boy is also thoughtful; he even visited five stores to make her breakfast. True love, as I see it, is mutual care—you smile for each other and tolerate each other’s mistakes.

I plan to keep watching such videos. Unlike long TV series, they don’t take much time (I finish one in 2-3 days) and I’m not addicted—I see it as a learning way. After all, I have little real-life interaction and no close friends to talk to freely. So I choose to be my own best friend, finding joy in watching videos, talking to myself in the mirror, dancing or reading.

Besides the short video, I also want to share my teaching gains and things about my students. There are always unfinished tasks, and sometimes I have to work online. Today, I contacted several students’ parents: I told them about their kids’ school behavior and my requirements, hoping to let them know I care and get their cooperation. Luckily, most parents were cooperative, so I’ll keep this up.

In class, I shared the sample composition I prepared yesterday and taught students the "transfer method" to imitate it for their writing. They clearly grasped the method, but I reminded them: knowing the method is just the start—they need to accumulate words and sentences.

This evening, I danced for almost two and a half hours. It made my body relaxed and filled me with energy. I hope this can help me build muscle and become healthier. Later, I’ll do some reading for about 20 minutes before bed. With that, I can have a good sleep—today is really a day of total relaxation.

Today at lunch, I heard a colleague cried from work tiredness. It hit me that no one is alone—we all bear something. I’ve had similar feelings, but I believe everything (good or bad) will end. So don’t be too happy or sad; that’s just life. Many people feel lonely, even when surrounded by others.
