Seven-Character Regulated Verse ·Frostbound Village in Heavy Snow

夜浮薄雾灌空濛，

In thin mist veiled as in a dream, clouds hang along the bird's flight,

鸟道盘云数断鸿。

I see wild geese lost in the clouded sky.

冻鹭衔寒僵野水，

The egret freezes with cold stream,the wild water looks still and white,

残梧坠叶响清穹。

Withered leaves from the plane trees in the blue sky rustle and sigh.

荻花乱岸江吞白，

The reed flowers run riot along the shore,the river swallows all dyed white,

霜气凝光宇驻穷。

The frost-bitten light congeals,the sky seems to come to a dead end.

时雪封阡迷客路，

Heavy snow hides the pathways,confusing travelers in their plight,

沧茫欲化玉霄风。

In this vast world I would ride on the wind to the Jade Paradise ascend.
