<p class="ql-block"> 寒山寺，在苏州市姑苏区，古称枫桥寺，占地面积约1.3万平方米，建筑面积3400余平方米，是佛教文化传播的典范。</p><p class="ql-block">Hanshan Temple, located in Gusu District, Suzhou City, was formerly known as Fengqiao Temple. It covers an area of approximately 13,000 square meters and has a construction area of over 3,400 square meters. It is a model for the dissemination of Buddhist culture.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 寒山寺始建于南朝梁天监年间（公元502～519）。唐代诗人张继途经此地，写下了千古绝唱《枫桥夜泊》，寒山寺名声大振。</p><p class="ql-block">The Cold Mountain Temple was first built during the reign of Emperor Taijian of the Southern Dynasties (502 - 519 AD). In the Tang Dynasty, poet Zhang Ji passed through this place and wrote the timeless masterpiece "Fengqiao Night Staying", which greatly enhanced the reputation of the Cold Mountain Temple.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 寒山和拾得两人主持寒山寺。寒山寺的核心文化是“和合”，象征家庭和睦婚姻美满。两个和尚，一手持荷叶荷花，谐音“和”，一手捧宝盒，谐音“合”。和合二仙由此得来。</p><p class="ql-block">Han Shan and Shi Di were the leaders of Han Shan Temple. The core culture of Han Shan Temple is "Harmony and Unity", symbolizing harmonious family and a happy marriage. The two monks held lotus leaves and lotus flowers in their hands, which are homophones for "harmony", and they held a treasure box in their other hands, which is a homophone for "unity". Thus, the "Two Immortals of Harmony and Unity" came into being.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 这就是姑苏城外的枫桥，因张继的《枫桥夜泊》而千古留名。它重建于清朝同治年间，为单孔石拱桥。</p><p class="ql-block">This is the Fengqiao Bridge outside the city of Suzhou. It has been immortalized through Zhang Ji's poem "Fengqiao Night Staying", and was rebuilt during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty.
