<p class="ql-block">今天是中国的父亲节</p><p class="ql-block">張藍平 (Peter)</p><p class="ql-block">为很多人知道的母亲节和父亲节，都源自美国，中国其实有中国的父亲节，那一天就是每年的八月八日。为什么是八月八日呢？因为“八”谐音“爸”，两个“八”放在一起就是“爸爸”，有一段英文是这样表述的：China celebrates Father's Day on August 8，the word in Chinese for“eight”is ba and two of them --ba ba -- is a term for“father”in Chinese.</p><p class="ql-block">在很多家庭里，父亲是家里养家糊口的挣钱人，是顶梁柱（Father is the bread winner and the backbone of the family.），但如今，不少家庭里母亲的权威更大，每当父亲发工资时，工资会自动转入母亲的银行卡，母亲因此就会“财大气粗”，在家里就“说的算”（Who holds the purse rules the house.）。</p><p class="ql-block">在教育子女方面，父亲的责任重大，因为“子不教父之过”（If a child doesn’t behave properly, it’s the father’s fault.），父亲要以身作则，给孩子做一个好榜样，因为“有其父必有其子”，英语说Like Father, Like Son. ，另外一句类似的英语是The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.。</p><p class="ql-block">那句“女人能顶半边天”（Women hold up the half sky.），是对女人的赞扬，如果家庭的经济支柱是父亲，实际情况则是“男人顶起了三分之二的天”（Men actually hold up two-thirds of the sky.）.</p><p class="ql-block">在母亲节那天，大家可以理直气壮地说“离开了女人，男人什么也不是”，英语说“Woman, without Her, Ｍan is Nothing.”，而在父亲节的今天，男生们则可以大声嚷嚷“离开了男人，女人什么也不是”，英语的表达是这样的“Woman, without her Man, is Nothing.”。</p><p class="ql-block">都说“母爱深似海”（A mother's love is as deep as the sea.）, 同样“父爱高如山”（A father's love is as tall as a mountain.）。</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">最后，在父亲节里祝所有的父亲节日快乐！</p><p class="ql-block">2025年8月8日</p>
