Welcome & Action Songs (15 Minutes)</p><p class="ql-block">1. Welcome (2 mins): Greet students warmly.</p><p class="ql-block">2. Action Song 1: "Hurry Hurry Drive the Fire Truck" (7 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Introduce the song.</p><p class="ql-block"> * Lead students in singing and performing the actions. Encourage enthusiastic participation.</p><p class="ql-block">3. Action Song 2: "Dance Freeze Party" (6 mins* Explain the rules: dance when the music plays, freeze when it stops.* Play the song and lead the activity. </p><p class="ql-block">II. Vocabulary & Book Review: "Vegetables" (20 Minutes)</p><p class="ql-block">1. Introduce/Review Vegetables (5 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Hold up the "Vegetables" book </p><p class="ql-block"> * Point to each vegetable and say its name clearly.</p><p class="ql-block"> * Ask students to repeat the names after you.</p><p class="ql-block">2. Sentence Practice: "This is..." / "These are..." (10 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Go through each specified vegetable, demonstrating the sentence structure.</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: (Points to a potato) "This is a potato."</p><p class="ql-block"> * Students: "This is a potato."</p><p class="ql-block"> * Continue for:</p><p class="ql-block"> * "This is broccoli."</p><p class="ql-block"> * "This is lettuce."</p><p class="ql-block"> * "This is corn."</p><p class="ql-block"> * "This is an onion."</p><p class="ql-block"> * "This is cabbage."</p><p class="ql-block"> * "These are carrots." Read Book: "Nine" (15 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Introduce the book "Nine."</p><p class="ql-block"> * Read the book aloud, clearly enunciating each animal and the number "nine."</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "Nine cows." (Show picture)</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "Nine bulls." (Show picture)</p><p class="ql-block"> * Continue for: nine horses, nine pigs, nine geese, nine goats, nine chickens, nine sheep.</p><p class="ql-block">2. Singular vs. Plural Concept (10 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "When we have one, we say 'cow'." (Show a picture of one cow)</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "When we have many, like nine, we say 'cows'." (Show picture of nine cows)</p><p class="ql-block"> * Repeat this concept for other animals from the book:</p><p class="ql-block"> * Bull (one) / Bulls (many)</p><p class="ql-block"> * Horse (one) / Horses (many)3. </p><p class="ql-block">IV. Sight Words Introduction & Practice (25 Minutes)</p><p class="ql-block">1. Introduce Sight Words (5 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Write the sight words clearly on the whiteboard: my, do, you, and, have, like.</p><p class="ql-block"> * Point to each word, say it, and have students repeat it.2. Practice "My" (5 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "Everyone stand up!"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "Point to your shirt and say, 'My shirt!'"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Students: (Point) "My shirt!"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "Point to your shoes and say, 'My shoes!'"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Students: (Point) "My shoes!"3. Practice "You" (5 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "I need two friends to come to the front." (Select two students)</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: (To Student A) "Point to Student B and say, 'You are my friend!'"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Student A: (Points) "You are my friend!"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: (To Student B) "Now, you point to Student A and say, 'You are my friend!'"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Student B: (Points) "You are my friend!"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: (To the class) "Now, everyone point to me (the teacher) and say, 'You are my teacher!'"</p><p class="ql-block"> * Students: (Point) "You are my teacher!"</p><p class="ql-block">4. Practice "And" (5 mins):</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "I need two more friends." (Select two students, e.g., Andy and Shawn) * Andy: "Andy and Shawn."</p><p class="ql-block"> * Teacher: "Great! Now, let's name some other friends using 'and'."</p><p class="ql-block"> * Go around the room, having students name two classmates using "and" (e.g., "Joy and Yo-yo)</p><p class="ql-block">5.
