<p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">一九二六年三月十八日上午八时许，刘和珍以女师大学生自治会的名义打电话给英语老师梁实秋，请准停课一天。没想到仅过了几个钟头在执政府门前就发生了惨案，女师大刘和珍、杨德群两位同学当场殉难。三月二十一日，梁实秋怀着悲愤的心情写下了《悼刘和珍杨德群女士》（发表在一九二六年三月二十九日《语丝》七十二期），文中摘录了刘和珍的一篇英文作文片段，是她死前一日交的，题目是：<b>Social Life in the College</b>，完成时间是<b>Mar.16,1926</b>。<u>原文（片段）如下</u>：</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><b style="font-size:15px;">“It is said, the most happy day is the period of student. I cant agree with it. I believe that here would never be any happy day in the world, and that the period of student is also trouble.</b></p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><b style="font-size:15px;">“For example, our school, Peking National Teachers, College for Women, has been always in disturbance,since I entered. I am afraid of reco-llecting the life of past in the college.</b></p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><b style="font-size:15px;">“Now our school being more comfortable than before, I am preparing to make myself quiet in stu-dying. But it is heard, the new minister of educa-tion, Mr.Ma Chun Wu, will be contriving to dis-turb the educational circle. The peaceful condition, as present time, will not be keep(kept) by us. Oh, how horrid it is !</b></p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><u>梁实秋对其进行了翻译</u>：</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">“人常说，学生时期为最快乐之日，但是我不敢赞同。我相信世上永无快乐之日，而学生时期，亦多纷扰。</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">“譬如吾校，北京女子师范大学，自从我进校以来即永未见宁日。我不敢回忆我在校过去的生活。</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">“现吾校已比较安静，我正预备静心求学。但是又风闻新教育总长马君武氏又正在阴图扰乱教育界。若今日之安宁，我们又不能享受了。啊，这是何等可怕！”</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><u>梁实秋摘录前后有两段评论</u>：</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">“刘女士每对自己的英文懊悔程度太差，以前旷课太多，其实一看她的英文倒是很流畅通顺的。这一篇文中有很可引起我们感叹之语，很可以使我们知道她求学的心切，及上回因受摧残而旷学⁽¹⁾是如何必不得已之事。”</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">“从这一篇中就可知道刘女士求学的热心及她受章士钊摧残⁽²⁾感觉的困苦。同时也可以看见她对于政治的识见，远在一班丧家狗之文妖与名流之上。”</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size:15px;">注：</b></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;">（1）指“女师大风潮”（也称“驱杨运动”），刘和珍作为学生自治会主席是这次学生运动的主要组织者和领导者。</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:15px;">（2）章士钊时任教育总长，女师大风潮期间，校长杨荫榆对学生的高压政策得到了他支持，曾一度解散女师大。</span></p> <p class="ql-block" style="text-align:center;"><span style="font-size:15px;">刘和珍</span></p>
