K3 Lesson Plan: Fun with Transportation, Letters, and Counting!
Theme: Exploring Our World & What We Need
Target Age Group: K3 (Kindergarten 3)
Duration: Approximately 45-60 minutes (flexible based on engagement)

I. Circle Time & Warm-up (10-15 minutes)
* Action Song: "Dance Freeze" and "Baby Shark"
* Objective: To energize students and practice listening skills and following directions.
* Activity: Lead children in performing the actions for both songs. Encourage full participation and enthusiasm.
* Book Review: Twelve
* Objective: To reinforce number recognition (12) and introduce simple sentence structure.
* Activity:
1. Hold up the book Twelve. Ask: "Who remembers this book?"
2. Flip through, pointing to the pictures and reading the example sentences clearly:
* "Twelve aprons."
* "Twelve hats."
* "Twelve cookies."
3. Engage children by asking: "What else did we see twelve of in this book?" (Encourage recall).

II. New Story & Vocabulary (10-15 minutes)
* New Book: Lunch at School
* Objective: To introduce new vocabulary related to food and daily routines, and reinforce "My..." sentence structure.
* Activity:
1. Introduce the book: "Today we're going to read about 'Lunch at School'!"
2. As you read, emphasize and point to the pictures for the target sentences:
* "My lunch."
* "My noodles."
* "My milk."
* "My cookie."
* "My napkin."
3. After reading, ask simple questions: "What do you like in your lunch?" or "What did the child in the story eat?"

III. Transportation Exploration (10-15 minutes)
* Visual Presentation: Land, Water, and Air Transportation (using a television or large screen)
* Objective: To introduce and categorize different modes of transportation.
* Materials: Pre-prepared slides or images of various vehicles.
* Activity:
1. "Now, let's learn about how we travel! We can travel on land, on water, and in the air!"
2. Land Transportation: Show pictures one by one.
* "This is a motorcycle. It travels on land."
* "This is a bicycle. It travels on land."
* "This is a truck. It travels on land."
* "These are cars. They travel on land."
* "This is a bus. It travels on land."
* "This is a train. It travels on land."
3. Water Transportation:
* "This is a ship. It travels on water."
* "This is a boat. It travels on water."
* "This is a cargo ship. It travels on water."
4. Air Transportation:
* "This is an airplane. It travels in the air."
* "This is a hot air balloon. It travels in the air."
* "This is a helicopter. It travels in the air."
5. Briefly recap: "So, we have land, water, and air transportation!" Ask students to name one example for each.

IV. Worksheet Activity (10-15 minutes)
* Focus Letters: S and T
* Objective: To reinforce recognition of letters S and T, and practice identifying initial sounds.
* Materials: Pre-printed worksheets for each child.
* Activity:
1. Introduce Letters: "Today we are going to learn about the letters 'S' and 'T'." Show flashcards of "S" and "T" and make their sounds.
2. Match the Picture with the Beginning Letter:
* "Look at the first picture. What is this? (e.g., a tent). Does 'tent' start with S or T?" (Guide them to choose 'T').
* Provide clear examples on the board first.
* Worksheet Examples:
* 1.) 🏕️ (s or t) - (Answer: T for Tent)
* 2.) 🌞 (s or t) - (Answer: S for Sun)
* Prepare 4-6 similar pairs on the worksheet.
3. Write the Missing Letter:
