欢迎来到我的家乡——演丰镇。 Welcome to my hometown, Yanfeng. 演丰是属于海口市美兰区管辖的一个濒海小镇。距离海口大约30公里，人口不祥，村落数量待考。从海口驱车途经海文高速公路只需半个钟头车程，如果您更喜欢欣赏沿途的风景的话，可以在红城湖中巴车站搭乘公交车前往，需四十分钟左右才能到达。其交通便利，地理位置殊佳，自然、生态资源丰富，环境优美，空气清新。是海内外游客旅游观光，娱乐休闲享受美食的首选之一。其人杰之地灵的水土，培养了很多的人才。
不久前为了响应党中央的建设社会主义新农村政策的号召，全国各地文明生态村的建设在如火如荼的进行，而这股春风也刮到了我的家乡：村里以前泥泞不堪、蘸着红泥土的羊肠小道不见了，取而代之的是宽阔亮敞的水泥大道，家家通电，户户装电话，有的还装上宽带。
来到演丰，如果您不去看看红树林以及里面的濒危鸟类与植物的话您算白来了，一家四口，拟泛轻舟于树林中，迎着微风，撑着竹竿吹着烟蓑雨笠一渔舟如诗般的意境，或误入红树深处惊起一滩鸥鹭，让人流连忘返、摇旌以梦。如果您只是领略红树美景，而没去品尝演丰的美食那将是人生另一大憾事，生猛新鲜刚出炉的海鲜，独具匠心的搭配食材，肉脆爽口的咸水鸭让您垂涎欲滴，口水井喷。

Being a small town of Haikou Meilan Borough, Yanfeng lies in a coastal land. It is 30km from the capital city Haikou,whose population is beyond my knowledge, and the number of all the villages should have me embarrassed again.It only takes you half of an hour' drive settin' off from Haikou, via Haiwen Super Highway.If you just happen to prefer course_visit to destination_visit, you may take a routine coach at Hongchenghu Bus_station, which will take you for the ride about 40mins or so .The town itself is either well located or easy of access, and is rich in natural and eco resources with beautiful surroundings and low API(air pollution index). All that above mentioned ranks it high on a must_vist list for the visitors, national or foreign.They say it is the outstanding landscape that breeds outstanding minds.That is true,taking me for example, i was outstandingly born in such an oustanding place too.Recently, the country has been engagingly calling for a civilised, environmental friendly and village_building programme ,designated to develop the underdeveloped rural areas. Since, great changes have taken place in my hometown to response this vocation: the once_mired muddy narrow path now a broad bright cement road(asphalt road); every household is electricity power driven;connected with telephone and Internet services.Come to Yanfeng ,it is nothing but a shame,if you don't pay a visit to the endangered birds and trees in the Mangrove forest, conjure up a picture like this in your mind : rowing in the most adventure_ ridden forest with the breeze soughing,like a fishman with his cloak in a most peotic manner,or perchance,almost disturb the birds' repose and make way to escape…what a picturesque and breath_ taking delightful scene. A pity yet, if you miss the delicacies here, for Salt Water duck is a Yanfeng particular and seafood its another one,and it is high in food value with unique and special culinary and cooking technique and hence famous and expensive.
