艺术家Sir Nathaniel Bacon

Sir Nathaniel Bacon, KB，1585年 – 1627年， English画家、地主，来自Culford, Suffolk的园艺家。知名于他的厨房和市场场景，画中有大量静物蔬菜和水果，和丰满的厨娘。最出名的作品就是 "The Cookmaid with Still Life of Vegetables and Fruit" (珍藏在伦敦Tate Gallery)。他的作品只有九幅尚存，还有 Government House中的肖像画， Sydney确认是他妻子Jane, Lady Cornwallis。

他是第一位British知名的风景画画家，他还画自画像，也给别人画肖像画。 1625年为庆祝Coronation of Charles I被授予 Knight of the Bath。

他是 Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Baronet, of Redgrave最小的孩子，哥哥是知名政治家和哲学家 Francis Bacon (Lord Verulam)。

1613年或1614年他与Sir William Cornwallis遗孀, Frederick Cornwallis, 1st Baron Cornwallis的母亲Jane Cornwallis (出生姓 Meautys)结婚。

他42岁去世，病因是肺结核。 1627年7月1日葬在 Culford Hall (现在已重建，改名为 Culford Park)。他女儿Jane, 三岁，同一年10月死亡，葬在他身边。 都登记在 Culford Parish Burial Register。另一位女儿 Anne于1639年嫁给 Sir Thomas Meautys。

在 St Mary's Church, Culford有他的纪念碑，由雕塑家Nicholas Stone创作。1628年他哥哥Sir Edmund Bacon也在伦敦 Stones的工作室伫立了一纪念碑，写着："My brother's monument goes well forward, I saw it so much as is done, the day before I came own of town"。
