《杨氏家乘叙》

自古及今，积功修业，福泽后裔，古之立大事者，莫不始于家之内闱。然彼辈于积功累业之际，往往潜行不显，人莫之知。迨至子孙贵显，门楣赫奕，而后邻里乡党惊疑相顾，虽子孙亦莫能详其故也。乃至子孙自身，亦多昧于先人之创业之由。以不知先人劬劳之艰难，子孙易忘其潜德幽光，而徒冀己之能立不世之功，殊不知此非旦夕之功所可致也。

尝谓杨氏最初由黄河中游，山西晋国，转迁弘农，始出华山仙峪，以及宦居唐、汉、魏之京兆；经六朝大业、广明、五季之乱，而不衰；涉女真之乱，而益炽。吾族受之氏，出于宁秦之赤泉侯喜者。赤泉世居华阴，乃至太尉震之八世孙政，东汉左中郎将，居京兆，而卒于任。政传世海为齐州太守。后唐间，传至二十三世鳌公，任福州知府，遂家于闽。五季后，闽地百镇争雄，祖雁行六人，派分浙南，琼公偕兄继为南闽遂昆，卜居凤巢焉。迨嘉定间，吾太祖赞起自凤巢迁永邑茶山，仿五柳居士，归隐林泉，别号南山。长子天豫，字京孙，名呈逸。于宝祐癸丑，秋闱中式，进士出身，知靖安县，后绝意功名，回归故里，号称见山，为横川杨氏始祖，派分发族。故此，迁徙过程，脉络分明。

所幸乎，编纂之家，皆能各自操觚，以志氏族之学，俾兹谱牒得以藉此而弗坠于地。观夫凤巢杨氏，其望则在华阴，其宗则自赤泉侯始。自开瓯以来，肇祖之裔孙，蝉联科第，进士起家者，竟多达一十有六人，何其盛也！彼等衣冠赫奕，时人皆以极盛称之，诚为家族之荣光矣。于是，研精殚思，偏览诸书，尊其信，阙其疑。复大萃群族之谱，憖比之闻。家有藏牒，墓有断碣者，必亲往证验；或移书百里外，叩同宗之贤，以质其见闻。如斯者，持之如恒，几载间始稽其共宗，而达其所由分。经纬错综，画以成图，而疏其字，条理梳析，厘正咨采既博。凡有系于谱事者，旧新不合，亦不欲弃去，合为一编，而分为上下世系图列之，以资待考也。本旨于首，简以告敦亲睦族之士，相与其传焉。

谨此为叙。

【译文】

自古以来，那些积累功绩、建功立业并将福祉留给后代的人，都是从家庭内部开始打下了坚实的基础。然而，这些人在积累功劳和成家立业的过程中，往往并不为外人所知晓。直到他们的子孙显贵，家族门庭显赫，邻里乡亲才感到十分吃惊和疑惑，就连子孙本身也往往不清楚先辈创业的缘由。由于不了解先辈创业的艰辛，子孙们容易忘记先辈的默默付出，只期望自己能够成就一番伟大事业，却不知这绝非一朝一夕之功。

据说，杨氏家族最初起源于黄河中游的山西晋国，后来迁徙到弘农，并从华山仙峪走出，开始在唐、汉、魏的京都里，做仕人宦居。经历了六朝大业、广明之乱，以及五代十国的动荡，杨氏家族依然不衰；在女真之乱中，家族反而更加兴盛。我们这一族姓杨，源自宁秦的赤泉侯杨喜。赤泉侯家族世代居住在华阴，传到太尉杨震的八世孙杨政时，他担任东汉左中郎将，居住在京兆，并在任上去世，葬在长安。杨政的后代杨世海成为齐州太守。到了后唐时期，传到第二十三世杨鳌公，他担任福州知府，于是家族就在福建定居下来。五代之后，福建地区百镇争雄，我们的祖先兄弟六人，派分到浙南，杨琼公和他的兄长南迁到平阳凤巢定居。到了南宋嘉定年间，我的太祖赞公从凤巢迁居到永邑（今温州）的茶山。他效仿东晋的五柳居士陶渊明，选择归隐山林，因此别号称为南山。太祖赞公育有三个儿子，长子名叫天豫，字京孙，名呈逸。他教子有方，在南宋理宗宝祐癸丑年的秋天，京孙在科举考试中成功中榜，成为进士，后来担任靖安县知县。然而，他后来对功名利禄失去了兴趣，决定返回故乡，自号见山，成为了横川杨氏的始祖。从此，家族的分支开始繁衍，分派发族。家族的迁徙过程，脉络清晰分明。

　　幸运的是，负责编纂家谱的人都能各自执笔，记录氏族的历史，使得我们的家谱得以保存下来而不至于遗失。观察凤巢的杨氏家族，他们的声望在华阴，而宗族则发迹兴始于赤泉侯杨喜。自从在开瓯发族以来，始祖的裔孙们蝉联科举，以进士身份起家的人竟然多达十六人，这是多么兴盛啊！他们衣着华丽，当时的人们都以极致的盛况来称赞他们，这确实是家族的荣光。

于是，我精心研究，广泛阅读各种书籍，尊重可信的内容，对存疑的部分进行阙疑处理。我又汇集了众多家族的族谱，进行比较和听闻。凡是有家藏谱牒、墓有断碣的，必定亲自前往验证；前往或者写信给百里之外的同宗贤达宗亲，以核实他们的见闻。像这样坚持不懈，经过几年时间，才开始查清我们的共同祖先，以及我们分支的由来。我将错综复杂的信息整理成图，并用文字进行疏解，条理清晰地梳理分析，广泛咨询采集资料并进行校正。凡是与家谱有关的事情，无论新旧不符，我也不愿舍弃，而是将它们合并为一编，分为上下世系图进行排列，以供将来考证。本文的主旨在于开头部分，简要地告知那些注重亲族和睦的人士，希望他们能够共同传承这份家谱。

Narrative of the Yang Family Genealogy

Since ancient times, those who have accumulated achievements, made achievements and left their well-being to future generations have laid a solid foundation from within the family. However, these people are often not known to outsiders in the process of accumulating credit and starting a family. Until their children and grandchildren are prominent, the family is prominent, the neighbors are very surprised and confused, and even the grandchildren themselves often do not know the reason for the forefathers' entrepreneurship. Because they do not understand the hardships of their ancestors' entrepreneurship, children and grandchildren are easy to forget the silent pay of their ancestors, and only hope that they can achieve a great cause, but they do not know that this is not overnight work.

It is said that the Yang family originally originated in the middle reaches of the Yellow River in Shanxi Jin, then migrated to Hongnong, and came out of Xianyu, Huashan, and began to live as eunuchs in Kyoto in the Tang, Han and Wei Dynasties. After the great cause of the Six Dynasties, the Guangming Rebellion, and the turmoil of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, the Yang family is still not declining; in the Nuzhen Rebellion, the family is more prosperous. Our family name is Yang, derived from Yang Xi, the Chiquan Hou of Ningqin. The Chiquan Hou family lived in Huayin for generations, and when he was passed down to Yang Zhen, the eighth grandson of Taiwei Yangzhen, he served as a left middle Lang general in the Eastern Han Dynasty, lived in Jingzhao, and died in office, buried in Chang'an. Yang Shihai, a descendant of Yang Zheng, became Taishou in Qizhou. In the post-Tang period, it was passed to the 23rd Yang Aogong, who served as the governor of Fuzhou, so the family settled in Fujian. Five generations later, Fujian region hundred towns competed for male, our ancestors brothers six people, sent to southern Zhejiang, Yang Qionggong and his brother moved south to Pingyang Fengchao settlement. In the years of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty, my Taizu Zangong moved from Fengchao to Tea Mountain in Yongyi (now Wenzhou). He followed the example of Tao Yuanming, a five-liu resident of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and chose to return to the hidden mountain forest, so he was nicknamed Nanshan. Taizuzan Gongyu has three sons, the eldest son named Tianyu, the word Beijing Sun, the name is Yi. In the autumn of the Southern Song Dynasty, Tianyu successfully won the imperial examination, became a scholar, and later served as a Jing'an County Zhixian. However, he later lost interest in fame and fortune, decided to return to his hometown, and became the ancestor of the Yang clan in Yokogawa. Since then, the branches of the family have begun to reproduce and distribute the tribe. The migration process of the family is clearly defined.

Fortunately, the people responsible for compiling the genealogy can write their own, recording the history of the clan, so that our genealogy can be preserved without losing it. Observing the Yang family of Fengchao, their prestige was in Huayin, while the clan's prosperity began in Chiquan Hou Yangxi. Since the Kaioufa people, the ancestors' descendants and grandchildren have won the imperial examination, and as many as 16 people have started as Jinshi, how prosperous it is! They were well-dressed, and the people of that time praised them with the ultimate grandeur, which was indeed the glory of the family.

So I carefully studied, read a wide range of books, respect credible content, and deal with the doubtful parts. I have gathered the genealogy of many families to compare and hear. Whoever has a family genealogy ultimatum and a tomb is broken will surely go to verify it himself; go or write to his relatives who are hundreds of miles away to verify their knowledge. It took years to persevere like this before we began to find out our common ancestors and the origin of our branches. I will be intricate information into a map, and use the text to deconsolidate, organized and clear combing analysis, extensive consultation to collect data and correct. Anything related to genealogy, whether new or old, I do not want to give up, but merge them into a series, divided into upper and lower lineage maps for future research. The main purpose of this article is to briefly inform those who pay attention to kinship and harmony at the beginning, hoping that they can inherit this genealogy together.
