江南的雪，可是滋润美艳之至了。被雪轻抚过的茶园里，有清新脱俗的山茶花，有深黄磬口的腊梅花。雪的下面，有冷绿的青苔、菖蒲和杂草。虽然还是万木萧瑟的时节，鸟儿、蝴蝶和蜜蜂也都不见了踪影，没法与春暖花开的日子比。但是，空气清新极了，深深吸一口，丝丝的凉，淡淡的香。

The snow in Jiangnan is so moist and beautiful. In the tea garden lightly stroked by snow, there are exquisite camellias and plum blossoms with deep yellow bell-shaped mouths. Under the snow, there are cold green moss, calamus, and weeds. Although it is still the season when all trees are withering, birds, butterflies, and bees have disappeared, and it cannot be compared with the days when the spring is warm and flowers bloom. However, the air is fresh, and taking a deep breath, there is a slight coolness and faint fragrance.

杭州西溪湿地的梅最有野趣，坐上摇橹船，曲水寻梅，水鸟掠过，花影随波，别有意境。杭州灵峰的梅，一颗梅树有五种颜色，神仙都没见过，200多棵古树，铁骨丹心，鹤发童颜。杭州超山是江南最大赏梅圣地之一，十里梅花香雪海，唐梅宋梅，一香就是千余年。中国五大古梅，它占其二。

The plum blossoms in Hangzhou's Xixi Wetland are the most wild and interesting. Sitting in a rowing boat, searching for plum blossoms along the winding water, with water birds flying by and flower shadows following the waves, it has a unique atmosphere. The plum blossoms in Lingfeng in Hangzhou are five-colored, a rare sight even for immortals. There are more than 200 ancient trees with iron bones and a red heart, looking like cranes with white hair and child-like faces. Hangzhou's Chao Shan is one of the largest plum blossom-viewing sites in Jiangnan, with a sea of plum blossoms for ten miles. The plum blossoms of Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty have been fragrant for thousands of years. It has two of the five ancient plum blossoms in China.

杭州孤山的梅开在碧波旁，历代文人墨客，为它做诗吟唱。全世界最爱梅花的男人林和靖就葬在这里，以梅为妻，以鹤为子，疏影横斜水清浅，暗香浮动月黄昏，不是写意，而是写实。杭州飞来峰的梅开在石佛前，透过梅花看石佛，看到的是慈悲心和欢喜意。白云深处一声钟，惊醒芸芸众生。

The plum blossoms of the solitary mountain in Hangzhou bloom by the blue waves, and generations of literati have written poems about them. Lin Hejing, the man who loved plum blossoms the most in the world, is buried here. He took the plum blossom as his wife and the crane as his son. The sparse shadow slants across the shallow water, and the faint fragrance floats in the moonlit dusk. It is not an idealization, but a realistic depiction. The plum blossoms of Feilai Peak in Hangzhou bloom in front of the stone Buddha, and when you look at the stone Buddha through the plum blossoms, you see compassion and joy. A bell rings in the depths of the white clouds, awakening the common people.

腊梅和梅花名字相近，但属于不同科属、形态、颜色、香气及果实等。腊梅属于腊梅科腊梅属，花朵蜡质，颜色多为黄色，少数为白色或红色。花瓣较厚，有光泽，香气浓郁， 叶子对生，椭圆形，花期时通常无叶。通常在12月至次年2月开花，花期较早。腊梅耐寒性强，适应多种土壤，喜阳光。

Osmanthus and plum blossom have similar names, but they belong to different families, forms, colors, fragrances, and fruits. Osmanthus belongs to the Osmanthus family, the flowers are wax-like, mostly yellow, a few are white or red. The petals are thick, shiny, and have a strong fragrance. The leaves are opposite, elliptical, and usually have no leaves when in bloom. They usually bloom from December to February, which is earlier than other flowers. Osmanthus is hardy, can adapt to various soils, and prefers sunlight.

梅花属于蔷薇科杏属。梅花花朵较薄，颜色多样，包括白色、粉色、红色和绿色等。梅花花瓣较薄，香气较淡，叶子互生，卵形或椭圆形，花期时可能有叶。梅花一般在1月至3月开花，花期稍晚。梅花果实为核果，类似小杏子，可食用。梅花也耐寒，喜温暖湿润，适合疏松肥沃的土壤。

The plum blossom belongs to the genus Prunus of the Rosaceae family. The plum blossom flowers are thin and come in a variety of colors, including white, pink, red, and green. The plum blossom petals are thin and the fragrance is light. The leaves are alternate, oval or elliptical, and there may be leaves during the flowering period. The plum blossom usually blooms from January to March, slightly later than other flowers. The plum blossom fruit is a drupe, similar to a small apricot, and can be eaten. The plum blossom is also hardy, prefers warm and humid conditions, and is suitable for loose and fertile soil.

赏梅有四贵，贵稀不贵密，贵老不贵嫩，贵瘦不贵肥，贵含不贵开。何时赏梅有讲究，淡云、晓日、薄寒、细雨、轻烟、夕阳、微雪、晚霞时。何处赏梅也有讲究，清溪、小桥、竹边、松下、黄墙、明窗、疏篱等。去过杭州孤山和超山探梅，总觉得太热闹了点，最后还是定了禅意浓浓的杭州佛学院。

There are four virtues in appreciating plum blossoms: they should be rare but not dense, old but not tender, thin but not fat, and contained but not open. When to appreciate plum blossoms has its own rules: during light clouds, dawn, thin cold, light rain, light smoke, sunset, light snow, and evening sun. Where to appreciate plum blossoms also has its own rules: clear streams, small bridges, bamboo side, under pine trees, yellow walls, bright windows, and sparse fences. I went to Gu Shan and Chao Shan in Hangzhou to explore plum blossoms, but I always felt it was too crowded. In the end, I decided to go to the Zen Buddhist Academy in Hangzhou, which has a strong sense of Zen.

杭州佛学院是由国家宗教事务局批准、浙江省佛教协会主办、杭州市佛教协会承办的一所省级佛学院。其前身是1998年创办的“杭州佛教僧伽进修班”，2001年正式改名为“杭州佛学院”。不仅为佛教界输送了大量优秀人才，还在佛教文化传播、社会公益事业等方面发挥了积极作用。

Hangzhou Buddhist College is a provincial Buddhist college approved by the State Bureau of Religious Affairs, sponsored by the Buddhist Association of Zhejiang Province, and hosted by the Buddhist Association of Hangzhou. Its predecessor was the "Hangzhou Buddhist Sangha Advanced Class" founded in 1998, which was officially renamed "Hangzhou Buddhist College" in 2001. It has not only sent a large number of excellent talents to the Buddhist community, but also played an active role in the dissemination of Buddhist culture and social public welfare.

我虔诚地步入杭州佛学院大门。迎面而来的是小桥流水，二边潺潺流动的溪水边，有几树蜡梅正开的热烈。再前行便是携刻着佛意图案的青石路，挺头看，是黄墙青砖、气势恢宏的殿堂。殿堂的前方有一池碧水，二个大大的禅字印入眼帘，一个静静的携刻在黄墙上，一个梦境般漂浮在池水中。

I devoutly walked into the gate of the Hangzhou Buddhist College. In front of me were small bridges and flowing water, and on both sides of the flowing water, there were several trees of wax camellia in full bloom. Further ahead was a stone path engraved with Buddhist designs. Looking up, there were yellow walls and green bricks, majestic halls. In front of the hall, there was a pool of clear water, and two big Zen characters appeared before my eyes. One was quietly engraved on the yellow wall, and the other floated like a dream in the pool water.

殿堂西边的坡地是一片梅林，梅从枝干里钻出来，有的还是花骨朵儿，有的才展开两三片花瓣儿，有的全开了，疏影横斜，清香浮动，我的眼睛离不开了，脚步也不由自主移向那儿。坡上的梅或仰、或倾、或侍、或思、或语、或舞，梅的色各不相同，有的白似瑞雪，有的艳如朝霞，还有的绿如碧玉。

The slope west of the hall is a plum orchard. The plums sprout from the branches, some are still in bud, some have only unfurled two or three petals, and some are fully open. The sparse shadows slant across, and the fragrant scent floats. My eyes can't leave it, and my feet can't help but move towards it. The plums on the slope are either upright, leaning, serving, thinking, talking, or dancing. The colors of the plums are different, some are as white as snow, some are as bright as morning clouds, and some are as green as jade.

梅的姿各不相同。有的含苞娇羞欲语，似情窦初开的少女；有的潇洒自如，宛如落落大方的大家闺秀；有的嫩蕊轻摇，像热情奔放的小女子。坡上以红梅居多，绿梅和白梅夹杂着几树，那明黄的腊梅，则散落在绕坡的小溪边，溪水的倒影里有梅的花朵在舞蹈，溪水的水面上有腊梅花瓣在飘浮。

The beauty of plum blossoms varies. Some are shy and want to speak, like a young girl who has just fallen in love; some are free and easy, like a graceful young lady; some are tender and lightly swaying, like a passionate young woman. There are many red plum blossoms on the slope, with a few green and white plum trees mixed in. The yellow wax plum blossoms are scattered along the small stream that winds around the slope. The reflection of the plum blossoms in the stream dances, and the petals of the wax plum blossoms float on the surface of the water.

腊梅疏影横斜，色香独绝，且临冰育蕾，花发群芳之先。人们爱其风韵品格，便与坚贞、清逸的松竹尊为“岁寒三友”，点缀冬日庭院，独擅其美。腊梅不开在阳春三月，开在寒冬腊月；迎接它的不是和煦的阳光，而是凛冽的北风。梅以高洁、坚强、谦虚的品格，给人以立志奋发的激励和情操的陶冶。

The plum blossom casts a sparse shadow, its color and fragrance are unique, and it grows buds in the ice. It blooms before all other flowers. People love its grace and character, so it is revered as one of the "three friends of winter" along with the steadfast and elegant pine and bamboo. It adorns the winter courtyard and is unique in its beauty. Plum blossoms do not bloom in the warm spring of March, but in the cold winter of December; it is not greeted by the warm sunshine, but by the biting north wind. The plum blossom, with its high-minded, strong, and modest character, inspires people to strive for their goals and cultivates their sentiments.

傲雪的腊梅，屹立在寒冬之中，不管风雪交加，仍然尽情绽放。在百花凋谢之时，唯有它仍然生机勃勃，迎着漫天飞舞的雪花，挺立在凛冽的寒风中。梅没有牡丹的雍容华贵，没有菊花的尊贵典雅，没有水仙的婀娜多姿，却有着超凡脱俗的傲骨。在寒风中翩翩起舞，冰心玉骨，香沁入心。

The plum blossom in the snow, standing in the cold winter, regardless of the wind and snow, still fully blooms. When all the flowers have withered, only it remains full of vitality, facing the snowflakes flying in the sky, standing in the biting cold wind. Plum does not have the elegance of peonies, the dignity of chrysanthemums, or the grace of water lilies, but it has an extraordinary proud spirit. It dances gracefully in the cold wind, with a pure heart and jade bones, and its fragrance penetrates into the heart.

梅树下膝上横琴，那是何等美事。天人合一，梅人合一，缕缕情丝在琴弦里奏响。梅花有幸，历代有许多懂梅的人。宋代林和靖有诗：众芳摇落独暄妍，占尽风情向小园。疏影横斜水清浅，暗香浮动月黄昏。他把梅当成知心爱人，终生不娶，以梅为妻。清代画家蒲华，自称“生前知己许寒梅”。

Under the plum tree, playing the qin on the knee, what a beautiful thing. Heaven and man are one, plum and man are one, and the strings of the qin play out the threads of love. The plum is fortunate, as there have been many people who understand the plum throughout the ages. In the Song Dynasty, Lin Hejing wrote a poem: Among all the flowers, the plum is the only one that remains beautiful after the others have withered. It takes up all the charm in the small garden. The sparse shadow slants across the shallow water, and the faint fragrance wafts in the moonlit dusk. He regarded the plum as his beloved and did not marry for the rest of his life, taking the plum as his wife. Pu Hua, a painter in the Qing Dynasty, called himself "Xu Hanmei, a confidant in life."

冬日梅的吟唱，唤醒了苍茫大地、高山流水，唤醒了萧瑟草木、人间生灵。当腊梅踏雪来，正是寒冬时，不畏风霜寒，只把春来报。待你满枝头，便是离去时，不与百花争俏，不与万物争宠。我徘徊在冰雪里、寒风中，徘徊在梅树下、芬芳间。因为离别和不舍，因为爱恋和深情，因为感动和感恩。

The singing of winter plum blossoms awakens the vast land, high mountains and flowing water, and stirs up the desolate plants and creatures of the world. When the winter plum blossoms come in the snow, it is the coldest time of the year. They do not fear the wind and frost, but only bring spring. When they are full of branches, it is the time to leave. They do not compete with other flowers for beauty, nor with all things for favor. I wander in the ice and snow, in the cold wind, in the fragrance of plum trees. Because of parting and attachment, because of love and deep affection, because of emotion and gratitude.

梅开三度。一度开花稀少，欲露还藏；二度开花绽放，满树飘白；三度开花稀落，有绿芽相伴，象征着冬去春来。赏梅时间又可分为早、中、晚。早上的梅花含苞欲放，晶莹洁白，幽香阵阵；午时的梅花繁华盛开，灿烂芬芳，笑脸迎人；而傍晚的梅花则伴着西斜的夕阳，落英缤纷，景致非常迷人。

The plum blossoms bloom three times. The first time, the flowers bloom sparsely, hiding and revealing themselves; the second time, the flowers bloom and spread, filling the tree with white; the third time, the flowers bloom sparsely, accompanied by green buds, symbolizing the passing of winter and the arrival of spring. The time to appreciate the plum blossoms can be divided into early, mid, and late. The early morning plum blossoms are in full bloom, glistening white, with a faint fragrance; the mid-afternoon plum blossoms are in full bloom, radiant and fragrant, welcoming people with smiling faces; while the evening plum blossoms are accompanied by the setting sun, falling petals, and the scenery is very charming.

欣赏梅花，感受的不仅是梅外在的美丽芬芳，更是梅内在的高洁大爱。其实，从小到大，一直在回避与梅的交接，未与梅合过影，赏梅也只是从赏花的角度去感受。骨子里有一种偏见和忌讳，我想突破改变自己，静下心读梅的书籍，去乡野禅院感受梅韵，不知不觉，对梅的一种深爱和懂充满心间。

Appreciating plum blossoms is not only about the beauty and fragrance of plum blossoms on the outside, but also about the high purity and great love of plum blossoms on the inside. In fact, from childhood to adulthood, I have been avoiding contact with plum blossoms and have never taken a photo with them. I have only felt the beauty of plum blossoms from the perspective of appreciating flowers. There is a kind of prejudice and taboo in my bones. I want to break through and change myself. I read books about plum blossoms and go to rural temples to feel the charm of plum blossoms. Gradually, a deep love and understanding of plum blossoms fill my heart.

欣赏梅花，感受的不仅是梅内外在的美，更是一种生命的觉悟和觉醒。宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来。品味它，读懂它，会有一种感动。天地不语，却孕育了无数苍生。苍生有灵，感恩天地的默默守护。梅感恩天地，开出芬芳和希望。人感恩天地，学梅的姿态，顺时淡然，逆时淡定。

Appreciating plum blossoms is not only about appreciating the beauty of the outside and inside of the plum blossoms, but also about realizing and awakening to life. The sharp edge of a sword comes from hard work, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from hardship and coldness. Appreciate it, understand it, and you will feel moved. The heavens and earth do not speak, but they nurture countless people. People have souls, and they are grateful for the silent guardianship of the heavens and earth. Plum blossoms are grateful to the heavens and earth, and they bloom with fragrance and hope. People are grateful to the heavens and earth and learn from the plum blossoms to be indifferent in times of adversity and calm in times of adversity.

无论生活多忙碌，都该去寻找一方属于自己的净土。无论身在何地，都要为心腾出一片宁静，寻找属于自己的那方净土，在宁静里历练成熟，让生命更加丰盈。寻梅、咏梅和忆梅，是很好的一个修为方式。梅可以如此，四季的花也可以，花可以如此，草木枝叶也可以，自然里的一切都可以。

No matter how busy life is, one should seek a pure land of one's own. No matter where one is, one should make room for tranquility in the heart, seek a pure land of one' s own, mature in tranquility, and make life more abundant. Seeking plum blossoms, singing about plum blossoms, and remembering plum blossoms are a good way to cultivate oneself. Plum blossoms can do this, as can the flowers of all four seasons; flowers can do this, as can plants, leaves, and branches; everything in nature can do this.
