A trip to Nepal

I took a trip to Nepal last week and I want to share it with you.

Where is Nepal?It borders Tibet and Located at the foot of the Himalayan mountains．

It is the country of snow mountains．

Nepal has eight snow mountains higher than eight kilometers

Do you think Nepal is amazing?

What's the altitude there? Is it cold there?

The place we went to was no more than 2,000 meters and the temperature was between four and 20 degrees

We went to Kathmandu Chitwan，Lumbini ，Pokhara

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is full of festive atmosphere every day.Do you believe？There are more than 300 festivals a year in Nepal, and the Nepalese government has nearly 50 holidays. That's why Nepal is known as the happiest country

Chitwan is one of the best nature reserves in Asia ，We can see many animals ，The Rhyhorn (独角犀牛）is a rare animal found there ，The Bengal tiger （猛加拉虎）is also a key protected animal in the park ，There are many elephants there ，

we took part in an elephant ride. Four people ride an elephant through the forest and the river, We also saw many monkeys Peacocks ，crocodiles, it is very fun.

Lumbini, located on the border of southwest Nepal and India, is a world-famous Buddhist shrine because it is the birthplace of Sakyamuni, attracting worshippers from all over the world. There are many different styles of temples built in different countries, which retain a rich Buddhist culture and become the spiritual home of believers.

Pokhara is the best place for hiking，The sunrise on the snowy mountains was magnificent

Paragliding in Pokhara allows you to challenge yourself, go beyond your limits, and feel the beauty of nature. Flying beside the Himalayas will be an unforgettable memory

This week, I read about the personal experiences of several people who lost their homes and them advice for anyone who might experience a disaster. I think them advice is very meaningful, and now I share it with you so that you know how to protect yourself in a disaster.

1.Building a Go Bag ，The bag should contain water, food, A cell phone with a charger 、mask 、First aid kit 、Flashlight

2. Clothes: Grab your dirty laundry basket. Everything in it fits you, is seasonally correct and you've worn it recently, so you don't hate it.

3.Organize and protect your prescriptions and medications

4.Bring important family documents such as insurance policies, ID cards and bank accounts

5.Keep every receipt you spend from the moment you leave home. You might get reimbursed by insurance

6. Create a dedicated email address for everything to do with fires, from nonprofit contacts to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to your insurance adjuster to contractors. Having everything in one place greatly simplifies your life.

The origin and custom of Chinese Spring Festival

In ancient times, people called the growth cycle of grains "year", the concept of year originally came from agriculture, At the end of the year, the chinese people will hold various activities to celebrate harvest which is the origin of the Lunar New Year, later called the Spring Festival.

The custom of Spring Festival is related to the legend of Nian shou，A Chinese legend about a mythical beast who would wake up every year on New Year's Eve， this beast comes out to the town and terrorizes the villagers of the town and eat people ，The Villagers did not want this ，So they got together to form a plan to stop the beast from hurting more villagers．

People found out that the beast was afraid of red and light and sound, so every household hung red couplets and red lanterns, lit firecrackers to drive away the beast ，the beast really no longer appeared after the escape, The villagers delivered the good news that the beast had been driven away, the villagers began to visit each other, this custom gradually spread and formed the tradition of New Year.

So When the New Year comes, people will make a lot of preparations．Complete cleaning of homes to sweep away bad luck ，Decorating the house with red for good fortune，Paste the couplet and paper cutting，Hang lanterns．Buying new clothes ．Preparing A LOT of delicious food．These activities reflect the hope for a fresh start of the new．

On New Year's Eve the whole family will have big dinner together，New Year Eve’s food is very symbolic.

abundance，Sweet rice cakes for growth and progress

Adults also give red envelopes to children during the Spring Festival. They believe it will bring health and happiness to children.

International Women's Day

International Women's Day on 8 March is a day to celebrate the social, economic and political achievements of women, For over a hundred years, International Women's Day brings attention to women's issues all over the world and Promote gender equality ．

In 1908, 15,000 women in New York went on strike because of low pay and terrible conditions in the factories where they worked. The following year, the Socialist Party of America organised a National Women's Day, and one year after that, there was a conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, about equality and women's right to vote. In Europe, the idea grew and became International Women's Day for the first time in 1911 ，the United Nations declared 8 March International Women's Day in 1975.

Why do we need International Women's Day?

Do you now ？Across the world, less than 15 per cent of the world's countries have a female leader. Only 24 per cent of senior managers are women and 25 per cent of companies have no female senior managers at all. Women do the lowest-paid jobs and earn less money for the same work. This difference in pay is called the gender pay gap, and for young women in many places, including Britain and America, the gap is getting worse.

Women are also more likely to do most of the housework and childcare. When it comes to healthcare and safety, women also face significant inequalities.

Last year the UN found that Every day, 830 women die in childbirth and 137 women were killed by their partner ．

So There is still a lot of work to be done for gender equality. With the growth of the international women's movement, Women's Day has gained global significance.On this day, women around the world come together to focus on women's human rights．This is also the result of the continuous progress of human society．

So as women we must celebrate our own festival.
