<p class="ql-block">Time flies. In 2022, we restarted our Little Dragon Summer Camp after Cov-19. In 2024, some of our elementary campers are in the middle school now. Therefore, we build up our middle school summer camp to make sure that kids’ happiness and progress are the best compliments. </p><p class="ql-block">In curriculum in the middle school is more rigorous. Campers learned the importance of teamwork and hard work, gain knowledge and skills, broaden our horizons, increase the interests about the hot topics and new technologies in different fields in the contemporary world. </p> Debate Python <p class="ql-block">We first introduced what meant computer language, the the history of computer, and how the computer was computing. Later, we stepped into the exciting world of programming using Python. We gained some basic understandings of Python language. The most important thing is that Python classes enhance our critical thinking and problem-solving skills. </p> AI in Medical Field <p class="ql-block">AI simulates human intelligence, enabling machines to perform tasks requiring cognition. It can identify patients eligible for clinical trials, extract deep phenotypes to predict treatment outcomes, and help discover novel treatments, such as for Alzheimer's disease. AI also integrates multiple data sources to create knowledge bases for the efficacy and safety of dietary supplements. As AI advances, it will increasingly transform healthcare by enabling personalized medicine, improving diagnostics, automating routine tasks, and enhancing patient outcomes through advanced data analysis. In our lectures, you learn research projects conducted by high school students during the past 5 years.</p> Film <p class="ql-block">We started off by learning the basics of how to shoot video, using the rule of thirds and learning wide, medium, and tight shots. On the second to fourth days, we spent our time brainstorming our stories, filming, and editing our 1 minute video. And Friday, we shared them and explained the stories. All groups gave positive comments to each other. Every group did very good.</p> Strength Training & Team Building Activity Centers <p class="ql-block" style="text-align:center;"><b>Math</b></p> <p class="ql-block">The math topic is hard. Thank you all for your continued perseverance and hard work! </p> <p class="ql-block" style="text-align:center;"><b>Science Bowl </b></p> <p class="ql-block">The Science Bowl is a popular academic competition/game that tests students' knowledge in various scientific disciplines in middle school and high school. In the quiz format, the coaches gave explanations to the hard questions or the questions campers did wrong. Our campers can leaned the knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, Earth science, and mathematics. </p> <p class="ql-block" style="text-align:center;"><b>My Choice </b></p> <p class="ql-block">  In the activity center, some campers chose to do debate work or film project. They learned through sharing different perspectives and offering constructive feedback. Campers also build good relationships and feel part of a group.</p> Fun Time
