Fuligong was designed for cultivating the tropical delicious fruits, rare flowers and unique trees from the South China. The prominent botanist and fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences WU Zhengyi used the allusion and named this greenhouses as 'Fuligong' when it was first built. It includes the Main Greenhouse, Orchid House, Carnivorous Plant House,Cryptogam House, and Baijian Education Hall, which together make up a well- proportioned, fully functional and rationally laid-out greenhouse complex in which the different units complement each other. Until now, more than 2500 plant species have been well cultivated and horticulturally maintained in the greenhouses, and it's presenting the rich biodiversity and typical ecological landscape of Yunnan, which is famous as "Plant Kingdom". The Fuligong is now becoming one of the well science content bases for research, conservation and education in biodiversity characterized with unique historieal culture</p>
