The topic for this week was about ‘Learning about pumpkins’.
First we learnt whether it is a fruit or a vegetable then the parts of the plant and then what we can make or cook with it.
　　We watched an educative video about the whole process of growing a pumpkin. The children are always willing to learn a new song and sing along with it with pleasure. And especially were getting excited while we were playing a game where all the children were involved in a team play doing some fun activities to practice the new vocabulary.

Vocabulary: seed, roots , vine , pumpkin, sprout

Structures:
First we plant some seeds. Then seeds grow a sprout. Then vines and leaves grow. Then flowers grow on the vine. Then a green pumpkin grows. At last the pumpkin turn into orange.

Drama: We continued reading a new storybook “Ring” , discussed all the details about the story . Then did the comprehension exercises. And acted out the story.
　　We had a role play and the kids chose themselves which character they wanted to be. They were more excited about acting even though the characters are animals.

Phonics:
　　level 1 Gg(gorilla, goose) level 2 -ig (fig, wig, big, dig) level 3 - ay (bay, day, say, pay). They are improving their writing , listening and reading skills by doing different activities like tracing the letter or matching the picture with the word and making a word .

Montessori Time
During the working time,I like to work with my friends,looking ,we're so happy.I'm doing culture area work with teacher,I can learn many country flags.

本周汉字课上学习了:上下今古照木土水火金以上十个生字。通过学习以上生字的字源，了解了汉字的演变趣味性。本周孩子们学习了重阳节，学习了有关重阳节的古诗《九月九日忆山东兄弟》。感受诗人重阳节思念家人的思乡之情。

本周思维课认识了左和右，了解了身体的左边和右边，以及学习了空间认知十字路口。

本周我们学习了 声母 f 、d 的读音以及和单韵母的拼读练习，请各位家长带着孩子在家复习并练习书写。

下周我们的主题是Thanksgiving! 家长们可以在家里和小朋友们提前预热哟！
