<p class="ql-block">馆内资料详实、设备先进、呈现手段丰富精彩，会极大激发参观者对宇宙的兴趣。这块就不剧透了，大家有机会一定要自己去体验。</p> <p class="ql-block">今天写文章想跟大家分享一些馆内碰到的英文：</p><p class="ql-block">“宇宙”是三大主展区之一，我们来看门口的英文翻译——Cosmos，我相信大家一定有疑惑，为啥这里不用 universe？</p><p class="ql-block">没错，”宇宙"有两个英文单词：universe 和 cosmos，很多时候也通用，但有风格上的差别。</p><p class="ql-block">universe 词源是拉丁语，uni-（单一）+ verse（转动），字面意思是“全部转向一点”，表示所有存在事物的总和。</p><p class="ql-block">cosmos 来自希腊语 κόσμος"（kosmos），原意是“秩序”，与chaos（天地开辟前的浑沌状态）相对。它通常用于描述一个有秩序、有和谐和美感的宇宙。</p><p class="ql-block">观感上来说，universe 偏学术，cosmos 偏文艺。你在学术论文、科普文案中更有可能读到 universe；而在小说、诗歌或装逼文案中，你更有可能遇到 cosmos。</p><p class="ql-block">而 cosmos 一词，最能唤起人类对宇宙谐美丽的联想，相对于 universe 的理性，cosmos 更显浪漫。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block">不过，展区内有一首关于宇宙的小诗，标题用了 universe，可见两词有时的确是相通的，可以替换。</p><p class="ql-block">我们来看看这首诗的英文部分：</p><p class="ql-block">The tangible and the invisible converge to create a flowing space.（有形的和无形的汇聚到一期，形成了一个流动的空间）</p><p class="ql-block">A vast and deep universe fill our hearts with infinite hope.（辽阔且深邃的宇宙以无限的希望填入我们内心）</p><p class="ql-block">Over time, the lights and colors shine together in brilliant and unceasing harmony.（随着时间推移，光、色，在辉煌和永恒的和谐中，交相辉映）</p><p class="ql-block">毕竟是翻译部分，美感跟原文还是有差距的，感受一下原文：</p><p class="ql-block">“有形之物，无形之虚</p><p class="ql-block">虚实融合，汇聚成流动的空间。</p><p class="ql-block">浩瀚的宇宙，引领人心，充满无限希望</p><p class="ql-block">随时间变迁，光色互映，熠熠生辉。”</p> <p class="ql-block">“征程”也是主场馆之一，讲述人类的“问天”之路，入口处的这段英文小诗震撼人心，一起来看：</p><p class="ql-block">“From stargazing and praying, to predicting celestial signs and</p><p class="ql-block">gaining insights into astronomical laws.</p><p class="ql-block">Astrology was once a natural part of life in the past</p><p class="ql-block">We looked beyond our eyesight into deep space and sent</p><p class="ql-block">messengers on voyages to explore the stars.</p><p class="ql-block">Motivated by curiosity,</p><p class="ql-block">We followed the footsteps of countless pioneers and embarked</p><p class="ql-block">on a long journey.</p><p class="ql-block">To infinity and beyond.”</p> <p class="ql-block">场馆的名字“征程”不叫Journey，也不是 Expedition，而是 Odyssey，这个词就很妙。</p><p class="ql-block">Odyssey来自荷马史诗《奥德赛》，该史诗描述了英雄奥德修斯（Odysseus）在特洛伊战争后返回家乡伊萨卡的冒险。</p><p class="ql-block">Odyssey 在英语中通常用来形容一段长期、充满挑战和冒险的旅程。</p> <p class="ql-block">天文馆使用 "Odyssey" 作为“征程”的翻译，是想表达宇宙探索也是一场充满未知和挑战的冒险，亦如荷马史诗《奥德赛》所描绘的。</p><p class="ql-block">看完整个天文馆，最大的感受是：宇宙真的是人类的终极浪漫。</p><p class="ql-block">用天文学家卡尔·萨根在其著名作品《宇宙》（Cosmos）里的一句话来结束本文：</p> <p class="ql-block">“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars.
