2. 西瓜组成，吃西瓜（Jz妈妈）

2.1 西瓜简介

（按照“同传妈妈Emma”夏日营的内容提前学习西瓜的相关知识）
In summer, when it's very very hot, we also eat some special treats, right?
Like the watermelons, right?
The watermelons are big and round.
They're called water-melons, so they have much water, right?
They're juicy and sweet and yummy.
I love them.
How about you?
Watermelons grow ripe in summer.
They also grow from a tiny little baby just like you, a tiny little seed.
They grow from a tiny little seed.
And this is what they look like in spring.
And then they grow and grow and grow.
In summer, they become ripe, they become ready.
They grow into a big round melon.
When a watermelon is ripe and ready, then it's sweet and we can eat it.

But how can we tell if a watermelon is ready or not?
You can ask it.
So attention, please.
Here's one of the most important skills in summer that you can help with your mama to pick and choose a ripe watermelon.
I'll show you how to pick a ripe watermelon. Okay?
You pick a watermelon, and then you can knock on the watermelon gently with your knuckles.
You knock on it, and if the sound is like this, hollow sound, then it means the watermelon is ready.
It's the way watermelon says, "I'm ready."; "I'm ripe."; "Eat me, please."
So next time, when you're in surpermarket or like a little store, you can help your mom choose a ripe watermelon. Okay?
Watermelons are so juicy and yummy, but you should know that some parts of a watermelon are not that yummy.
They may be tasteless.
And you'd better not eat them.
So this time, we're going to learn the different parts of a watermelon.
When we eat the watermelon, we eat the red part.
That part is called pulp/flesh.
It's juicy and sweet.
But in a pulp/flesh, you will find many black things, right?
These are the watermelon seeds.
When you eat watermelon, you have to spit the seeds out.
And do you see this?
The white part?
This is rind.
You can eat this part, but it's not yummy.
It does not have taste.
It's tasteless.
And the green and stripy part is skin or we can call it peel.
You'd better not eat it.
So these are parts of a watermelon.
Next time, when you eat watermelon, can you name the different parts?
And oh, by the way, some watermelons have little tails.
When you're choosing watermelons, you will find that, oh, some of them are like little piggies.
They have the little piggy's tail, right?

3.4 制作刨冰Make shaved ice

Shaved ice is made from shaving blocksof ice and topping it with fruit syrups['sɪrəp]糖浆 and some fruits.
I have already prepared some blocks ofice. I filled this box with water last night and put it in to the fridge. Now,look, are these solid or liquid? The water is forzen.
First, cut some fruit into small pieces.open the lid of the shaved ice maker, look at the bar in the middle, there aresome blades around the bar. Dont touch it. They are very sharp, you may hurtyourself.
Second, put the ice blocks into thecontainer. twist the lid tightly.
Third, Press the . It will startto work.
Let's check if the ice is ready. Put theshaved ice in the fridge.
Fourth, pour some juice in your bowl,add the shaved ice and the fruits you like. you can enjoy your shaved ice now.

1） It’s against the rules to climb up the slide. Please go up the stairs or ladder instead.从滑梯爬上来是违反规则的。请从楼梯或者梯子那边上来。
2）Plus, the slide is too slippery and it‘s hard to climb up it.而且滑梯太滑了，很难爬上来。
（注意，不是climb it up，而是climb up it。）
3）Please hang on to the railing when you walk up the stairs.爬楼梯的时候要扶着栏杆。
4）Your legs are exposed today. The slide will feel rough when you slide down.你今天光着腿呢。往下滑的时候你会觉得滑梯有点涩。
(1) Your legs are exposed：光着腿。
(2) 中文里，我们说“感觉滑梯涩”，但是在英文中是相反的，不是You will feel rough而是the slide will feel rough。

I am the first little pig. I am making my house out of straw.(小猪手作盖房子动作)

And he did.
The little pigs ran away to their sister's brick house.
The next day the big bad wolf went to the brick house.

Big bad wolf（Jasper）：
（面部狰狞，粗生粗气）Let me in, little pig.

Third little pig（Zoe):
（镇定)No!

Big bad wolf（Jasper）：
（粗生粗气）Then I will huff and puff and blow your house down.
(狼鼓起腮帮子吹，两只小猪害怕地举起双手准备挡风，第三只小猪叉腰站着，脸上自信地微笑)

Narrator(Jz妈妈)：
And he tried.
But he could not blow the brick house down.
So the big bad wolf came up with a plan.（狼转动眼珠子，然后点头，想出个主意）
He went down the chimney.（狼手和脚持续做往下爬的动作）

Second little pig（Grace):
（两手招呼两只小猪，低语）I have a plan too. Let's put a big pot under the chimney and light the fire.
(三只小猪做出抬大锅的动作，两只小猪倒水，第三只小猪点火)
（狼跳到大锅的位置，弹跳起来，手摸屁股，大叫：Ah!!!，跑走）
（三只小猪拍手: hooray! 手牵手高兴地转圈）

The big bad wolf ran away.
And the three little pigs lived happily ever after!

Jz爸爸临时抓来充了个数，孩子们的表现都不错。。。

第一次尝试用戏剧的方式来学习海尼曼，感觉还不错哈~

以后如果有机会，可以多排练排练，甚至可以穿上costume很正规地排个剧哈~~~

（PS: 特别幸运的是在农场找到了straw、stick和brick，甚至还有chimney和big pot，完美！）
