是谁站在彩云间？

2月4日。我们一行四人（我们夫妇，蓝军和秦东生）来到了Monterey Park（加州蒙特利公园）。

这是一个离我们住的地方约有3200 公里之遥的地方。但却不是陌生的地方。从小学同学，中学同学到高中同学，都曾在那里聚过会。我记得一小学同学还告诉过我蒙特利公园曾有小台北之称。亚裔人口超过三分之二。其中华裔占绝大部分。目前的市长是台湾移民，其中的市议员大部分为华裔。

然而，就在春节这一天，我简直不能相信，在这样一个平和的城市里，一家叫舞星舞厅发生了加州历史上最惨烈的枪杀案之一：11人丧生。

这一天，白宫为死难者下半旗致哀。

我突然觉得蒙市对我是这样陌生，残酷的现实推翻我对那个城市的过去印像。

过了两天，在油管上看到更详细的报道，其中提到舞厅的经理第一个迎着杀手，试图阻止，而成了第一受害者。

看到照片，听到他的名字：马名伟。

是那位近四十年前认识的意气风发，热情似火的老朋友吗？

往事历历在目。。。

1987年，我到美国留学。他到广州火车站送我。照片里我抱着周岁的女儿。

马名伟是那样有心。一年后，他约了我太太带着我的女儿，到广州太阳岛乐园游玩。为我女儿拍了这张照片。
我一直把这张照片贴在冰箱上面。

春夏秋冬，年复一年。我逐渐和马名伟失联了。因为那时没有网路。鸿雁传书不及电子邮件。而且我相信，我和马名伟已经走上了不同的生活道路。
在我离开广州的时候，马名伟是中国电子进出口公司华南分公司电子器材部经理。还兼任电子工业部主办的《中国电子报》广州记者站站长。电子产业此时如火如荼。我觉得马名伟因该在商场上大展身手。而我自己，已“沦为”码农了。
没想到，36年后，我还有机会找到马名伟的足迹。

这位女士还提到案发后，凶手逍遥法外时，市政府和警局没有让当地居民知道潜在的危险。

AM1430粤语广播电台是当地华裔居民的主要消息来源。但政府并没有通知媒体。所以当地居民一无所知。

我查过当地警察的解释：现场见证人很多，但大部分不会说英语。这给警方带来很多麻烦。对证据的准确性缺乏信心，也是其中一个原因。

说话中，一位西班牙裔的老太太，带着家人到现场。听说我们从芝加哥来，还曾是马先生的朋友。拉着我的手，连连说Sorry。她邀请我们和她的亲友一起祷告。
