<p class="ql-block">因为疫情已有几年未出行，第一晚在西雅图访一下几年未见的表姐和表姐夫，华盛顿州的气候地貌与温哥华相似，拍的照片也相似（图一二）只是我们相见甚欢而矣。不过，去哪儿旅游不重要，重要的是跟谁一起玩。</p><p class="ql-block">我先生是位知识渊博的理工男，行程安排就交给他了。所以告别了表姐和姐夫，理工男带我奔向的远方，就是美国史上人类的最伟大工程之一 Grand Coulee Dam（被我翻译成：伟大的苦力水坝[偷笑]）这个水电站在三峡大坝出现之前就是全世界最大的水电站，建它用掉的水泥，可以铺一条从华盛顿州到佛罗里达州的高速公路还有余。发电量至今仍是全美第一☝️</p> <p class="ql-block">下面是我先生写的游记文字。</p><p class="ql-block">We drove across the border from Vancouver. There is no waiting at the border. That’s fantastic. We spent a night in Seattle, with friends. Then we drove east. </p><p class="ql-block">Washington call itself the evergreen state. But that is true only for the western part. The eastern part is very dry. The coastal mountain gives abundant rain to the west and blocks almost all moisture to the east. For most part of the east, it was a never green state, at least before the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam.</p><p class="ql-block">We drove east toward the Grand Coulee Dam. It’s the largest hydro dam in US, and was the largest hydro dam in the world until the Three Gorge Dam was built. The Grand Coulee Dam is truly grand. It produces three times more electricity than the Hoover Dam. Somehow, the Hoover Dam is a lot more famous. </p><p class="ql-block">The Grand Coulee Dam was built around the same time as the Hoover Dam. This reflected the mood of America at that time. This mood was best captured by Woody Guthrie’s song Grand Coulee Dam.</p><p class="ql-block">Well, the world has seven wonders, the travelers always tell</p><p class="ql-block">Some gardens and some towers, I guess you know them well</p><p class="ql-block">But the greatest wonder is in Uncle Sam's fair land</p><p class="ql-block">It's that King Columbia River and the big Grand Coulee Dam</p><p class="ql-block">She heads up the Canadian Rockies where the rippling waters glide</p><p class="ql-block">Comes a-rumbling down the canyon to meet that salty tide</p><p class="ql-block">Of the wide Pacific Ocean where the sun sets in the west</p><p class="ql-block">And the big Grand Coulee country in the land I love the best</p><p class="ql-block">In the misty crystal glitter of that wild and windward spray</p><p class="ql-block">Men have fought the pounding waters and met a watery grave</p><p class="ql-block">Well, she tore their boats to splinters but she gave men dreams to dream</p><p class="ql-block">Of the day the Coulee Dam would cross that wild and wasted stream</p><p class="ql-block">Uncle Sam took up the challenge in the year of Thirty three</p><p class="ql-block">For the farmer and the factory and all of you and me</p><p class="ql-block">He said, "Roll along Columbia. But the hard work that went into the Grand Coulee Dam still benefit today’s population greatly. It still irrigates large amount of farmland, turning wasteland into green fertile agricultural fields. -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">猜猜我是谁？</a></p> <p class="ql-block">转眼间就过完八日，我们又得各自奔向返程⋯这是我们这次行程的地图，环绕了一圈</p> <p class="ql-block">在和孩子们道别后，出盐湖城开始踏上归程，沿途一望无际的风景就是盐碱地和辽原却干旱的大地。说句内心话，没水的地方是真的让人担忧的。遇到车坏了，肯定走不出去。难怪沿途偶有看到关犯人的监狱。这种干旱地，广阔得插翅难飞。晚上在一个叫Fernley小镇的Desert Rose营地里歇息，这个小镇很多地名叫什么Lake湖之类的，转到那地方什么湖也没有，除了植被稍绿一些。先生说这是人们缺什么就对什么的美好盼望。那晚营地的风大极了，账蓬都要靠石头压住边角。第二天早早上路，驾驶到Reno, 这是除拉斯维加斯以外的第二大赌城。看到城中有条河，让我们眼前一亮，喜欢上了这个城市，决定把车停下，散会儿步⋯</p> <p class="ql-block">在Reno的河边散步至市中心逛逛，正赶上当地的古董车展。这些老车，都铮亮铮亮的，比新车还新，只说明一点，车主太爱惜它们了。我对车没有爱好，但看这些车的造型，也觉得好看和开了眼界❤</p> <p class="ql-block">接着去了Lake Tahoe湖，有块碑文刻着马克吐温说的话：”这一定是世上最美的风景，天使呼吸的空气，即使木乃伊吸了一口也可以生还。” 我说美当然也美，被他说得也夸张了一点儿吧。先生琢磨了一下说，马克吐温是1861年去的，那时没车，徒步跋涉在森林里几个月，终于见到这湖，感受和我们开车几小时就抵达是不一样的。来之不易的幸福感更强烈。Sacramento是我们抵达的下一个城市，它是加州的州府所在地。图六至九是州议会大楼。</p> <p class="ql-block">去完议会大厦，顺路拐进了州府图书馆图七。一个挺好的图书馆，但参观的人只有我们两个。接着前行，晚上找到一家叫Clearwater Lake 的营地。营地里没见什么人，就一位不年轻的女人，她带着两条狗，骑电动自行车旅行。我邀她一道晚歺，她说不了，你太甜蜜了。非常感谢。我不敢勉强，担心别人忧虑疫情这事儿。但她却和我们聊开了，知道我们从加拿大来，说加拿大的卡车司机真伟大，说自己的妈妈原本身体很健康，自打完苗苗后，立马头发掉光，人就成了一具骷髅。除了痛心和祷告，我无言以对。问她去哪儿？一个人骑车旅行不易。她说就是走走停停，自由在路上。想起前面在离开黄石公园去Utah的路上，一天清晨，我们选了一个山顶美景眺望台准备早餐，来了一对骑自行车旅游的父子，他们从德国来的。问我们能否帮他们带包垃圾在有垃圾箱的地方扔掉，这样可以减轻负行。我们说好的👌又问他们要不要一起吃早歺。他们说：”好”。我给他们每人做了份鸡蛋煎牛角包🥐。他们吃完说，加拿大人都这样吃吗？太美味了。哈哈哈，我说，是我的原创。其实旅行是你有多强的意愿决定你去到多远，方式也是多样的。这两个旅途中遇到的人都骑车上路。德国这对父子从纽约骑到黄石公园再接着去盐湖城。这个不年轻的女人还带了两条狗同行，大家以不同的方式，在各自的旅途上⋯</p> <p class="ql-block">旅途在北美西海岸的红杉木Redwood树林中，我们去开车穿过一个树洞，可见这些树木之大。这些树木长了上千年，每棵树都是一部史书。这些树木在白人来到这片土地之前，也生长在我们加拿大的BC省，据记载以前世上最高的树是在加拿大。可惜没有像历史上的加州人民那样反对砍树而得以存留。只在温哥华岛上还略有生存。这个树洞是私人收费的公园，20年代所建，这家以此经营为生已有几代。估计后来法律规定对树实施了各种保护。这就成了旅客独一无二的好奇心体验。$15美金一部车穿越一次。我先生也写了一篇这一带的有关游记，一并分享于此</p><p class="ql-block"><a href="https://blog.creaders.net/u/10630/202208/441493.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">红杉木</a></p> <p class="ql-block">Eureka 是我们途经线路上历史悠久的一个港口城市。旧时代的辉煌在这个城市的房屋建筑上得到充分体现。Carson Mansion 图一的毫宅在北美的大小城市中真不多见。其它的民宅也有精彩特色。这个早年以渔业和贸易为生的城市，可以想象它的繁荣，如今却是一种走下坡的衰势。图书馆有极大一面墙的玻璃面对海湾，人却不多，也没见什么小孩子，而且一天只开放两三个小时，要求带口罩的地方不少。这里有极美的海边，细沙滩绵延无际。赤足在被太阳晒烫的沙滩上，非常享受和疗愈。这一刻我都想是不是该在此度余生，但在城中散步时又收回了我的想法。因为在城中看到了好多大大小小的律师事务所，一个那么小的城市能养活那么多律师事务所，是该有多少纷争的是非之地啊？和Provo相比，那个城市有好多教堂，有朴实热情的人和欢笑的孩子们，感受到的能量的确不同。</p> <p class="ql-block">继续行驶在红杉木林旁⋯</p><p class="ql-block">这些由造物主亲手播种，</p><p class="ql-block">排列整齐阵营的红杉：</p><p class="ql-block">没有其他气候会对它如此尊宠。</p><p class="ql-block">没有其他土地知道他们的荣耀。</p><p class="ql-block">这些地球上最巨大的生存者，</p><p class="ql-block">以高大而嘲笑并战胜暴风雨；</p><p class="ql-block">历过五十个世纪的王朝，</p><p class="ql-block">挑战他们仍是一个戒指面上的迷。</p><p class="ql-block">这是他们的圣殿，高耸的拱顶。</p><p class="ql-block">在这里停下，虔诚的凝视</p><p class="ql-block">带着沉默的语调和敬畏的灵魂：</p><p class="ql-block">在这里，我们感觉到了生命的正确目标。</p><p class="ql-block">像这些树一样，正直，真实，美好</p><p class="ql-block">让我们的世界像它们的一样，成为一个圣殿</p><p class="ql-block">跪下你们的双膝，旅行者。</p><p class="ql-block">上帝就立在你们面前，在这些树前⋯</p> <p class="ql-block">在Klamath 河畔的营地宿营一晚，画了张写生。Klamath是加州第二大河，河景很美，蚊子也多。接着上路Oregon, 途中下来加油，和旁人聊天问起当地有什么好玩的地方？本地人告诉我们有这么一个很出名的大理石洞叫Oregon Caves. 此洞最早是一个猎人的狗发现的。它带着主人在洞里转悠了好半天才知道这洞有一两公里的途径。他们开始收费带人参观。这洞有许多岔路，在一个分支的小径上，还发现了大棕熊的遗骨，估计是迷路出不了洞口而灭亡。蝙蝠也在此安家过冬。大理石洞在美国总共有两个，一个于此，另一个在爱德华州。这个洞不小，某处平台还曾经有人扮成Caveman 来举行婚礼。只是前来的山路崎岖，很多弯。离开时，我接手先生一路辛苦开车，让他眯一会儿。这窄路下山，我觉得像是在开过山车，够晕眩🥴但这一程若不是下来加油，若不是随口问了旁人，都不会去看这个精彩的洞。感觉是上帝安排我们去的。不过这三年对旅游业的影响是巨大的。在景点入口处有三幢古朴的木板建筑旅馆都因无人居住营业失修而废弃了⋯这个世界，处处让我们看兴衰，好在现在已渐渐有不少游客了</p> <p class="ql-block">行至Oregan 的海边，看到迎风而立的树都长成这样了。我不提一字，请你意会风言风语⋯</p> <p class="ql-block">先生说，＂我们下一站就去你说过最想去的Crater Lake。＂＂啊？这是什么地方？我什么时候说的？”＂你上次看到一张这个地方的风景照片传给我告诉我的”</p><p class="ql-block">这一瞬间，我有一种触心的感动。理工男就是这样不露山水，不动声色地把我n年前说的连我自己都忘了的地方，引领出来⋯</p><p class="ql-block">这个火山湖是全美国最深的湖，也是世界上最清澈的湖。全美第二深湖是我们前面去的Lake Tahoe </p><p class="ql-block">在近50万年，这Crater Lake是北美最大的火山爆发造成的。开车绕湖一圈，只有一处可以近到湖边（图四）这么清澈的水一定得浸过才算来过，我跳进去，水盖过头顶，算是在全世界最清的水里受洗了一下，此生无憾</p> <p class="ql-block">清晨上路，多么美好的日出(Waldport, Oregon)</p> <p class="ql-block">日出</p><p class="ql-block">文／Coral珊瑚</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">雾气弥漫</p><p class="ql-block">迷茫笼罩世上</p><p class="ql-block">踏着寒星</p><p class="ql-block">如约而至 太阳</p><p class="ql-block">捧出温暖</p><p class="ql-block">捧出凝望万物慈祥的目光</p><p class="ql-block">坚定而不可阻挡</p><p class="ql-block">光影摇曳着热忱</p><p class="ql-block">饱满每缕亲肤的细节</p><p class="ql-block">唤醒 点燃我们内心</p><p class="ql-block">度黑夜而疲弱的光芒</p><p class="ql-block">让金色的爱</p><p class="ql-block">在天宇中依次绽放</p><p class="ql-block">2022/8/25</p> <p class="ql-block">沿西海岸返回，路上不能忘提的美景是海边</p> <p class="ql-block">海水</p><p class="ql-block">文／Coral珊瑚</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">与我对话的海水</p><p class="ql-block">千里迢迢 汹涌 一生感触</p><p class="ql-block">世间一个惊涛拍岸</p><p class="ql-block">让多少水珠粉身碎骨</p><p class="ql-block">口吐白沫的浪花</p><p class="ql-block">退出呐喊</p><p class="ql-block">一任卷起千层雪</p><p class="ql-block">留白满岸依恋与挽留</p><p class="ql-block">海水言毕</p><p class="ql-block">偏执地把所有印迹</p><p class="ql-block">一一带走</p><p class="ql-block">2022 Aug.20</p> <p class="ql-block">感恩上帝护佑此行一路顺利❤感谢先生一路辛苦开车🚗 感谢您的阅读🙏祝福美好每一天🌸</p>
