Having your children in Little Dragon Summer Camp in 1st week has been an excellent

experience. Children, teachers, and volunteers have all done their parts in making this an amazing start of our Little Dragon Summer Camp. We want to thank our students for their great behavior, and we were really happy to see students connect with each other and become respectful and responsible young scholars.

晨会 Morning meeting

Morning meetings always started with warm and interesting greetings. Everyday students played games to get to know each other better and practiced their speaking skills. On Monday, we reviewed the most common-used radicals and learned about character construction with those radicals. Students played group games to find correct radicals for their character cards. On Tuesday, the focus was on a classic book, Should I Share My Ice Cream, and practiced analyzing the fictions’ elements. Students were challenged to think deeply about main characters, background, plots, and solutions. On Wednesday, students were introduced to more than twenty ice cream flavors! A bingo game helped students improve their listening skill. We also spent some time reviewing the basic initials and enhanced students’ understanding of how these initials work to indicate the characters’ meanings. Thursday was ice-cream making day! Each student got at least one chance to take charge of one part of the complicated project. Students were so engaged and couldn’t wait to enjoy their own ice-cream. Finally, on Friday, students finished the little dragon brochure and then read another interesting ice- cream book semi-independently.

篮球课 Basketball

Student practiced how to use hard dribble control the ball.
