许渊冲先生参加《朗读者》，谈到自己经常熬夜工作，许老引用了这样一段诗句：

pull an all-nighter

英文含义：to remain awake all night to complete something

中文含义：为了完成某件事整夜不睡

all-night，形容一整晚的，加上er变成名词all-nighter，指一整晚、通宵。

拉一整个晚上，那肯定是一夜没睡，熬通宵啦。

泛指熬夜的行为：

pulling all-nighters

经常熬夜：

pull a lot of all-nighters

第一次熬夜：

pull one’s first all-nighter/pull an all-nighter for the first time

我好累啊，昨晚熬通宵了。
